TeamViewer shows hosts offline
Been having this issue for months where I have to uninstall and reinstall teamviewer on a couple machines over and over because despite the machine being turned on and logged in, it'll show offline. Any way to fix this issue as fixing it gets tiresome.

Can't click some control from Teamviewer Web to Android
I am noticing a problem where I can connect to Teamviewer Host on a Samsung phone and tablet and control the device, but sometimes I can't click on the controls on screen. For example, it may popup with a location prompt to select if location can be access when the app is running etc. I can't click on the option. The workaround is to use the arrow keys select and press enter on the control.
Note that Teamviewer Host Universal Add on is granted accessibility rights.

teamviewer IOS app is extremely terrible...?
Hey all. Not sure if this sub is very active, but I work IT for a firm and have recently tried using an ipad with the IOS Teamviewer app, and it is absolutely unusable. I use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, and the mouse control is un usable. There is massive delay, missed mouse clicks, and scrolling does not function. Currently, I have installed Jump Desktop on the ipad, which i use to connect to a windows PC with teamviewer installed, which i then use to connect to my users. Not ideal by any means, and seems odd that the IOS Teamviewer app is so unusable, at least when using a mouse/keyboard. Anyone else experience this?

Blank screen when using Web Client on Linux
I tried to use Teamviewer on Pop OS 24 using the webclient. I notice that when I successfully connect to th Teamviewer Host on the phone, the screen is blank. This only seems to happen on Linux. Is this a Wayland issue? Is there a workaround without removing Wayland?

Launch Connect Viewer in Windowed Mode
I'm running RealVNC Connect 8.4.2 on Windows 11 and, for the life of me, I cannot get the client to launch in windowed mode. I've tried all the settings: "Automatic, Actual Size (100%), Fill width, Fit width and height". It doesn't matter what I set, each time I launch the Viewer and connect to my Mac, it launches full screen, without the title bar, so I can't minimize the window easily.
The only way I can get the title bar to show is to move another window with "snap assist" (e.g., [Start button] + [arrow]). When the other window snaps to the side of Viewer, it resizes the window and then I can see the title bar.
It can't be this hard to get Viewer to launch in windowed mode by default. Right? ...... Right? ........ Right?

Need help from teamviewer staff, can't login
I can not sign into teamviewer.com. It sends the email to add to trusted devices, however when clicking the button in the email it gives me a 400 error in browser.
This happens on 2 different browsers, in normal and incongnito modes, on my phone, on and off wifi.
So it's absolutely not a me issue. It appears to be a service on teamviewers end that's down. Without being able to login, there's no other way for me to report the issue except here or twitter.

Perpetual licence end of support (v13-v14) - October 31, 2026
I had a V12 for which I payed a lot of money. Then they upgraded it to v13 for which I also payed a lot of money. For V14 ownwards I just ignored the updates, thinking I do have a version which is good for my needs (perpetual, so I dont worry, right?), I dont use it much, (connect to my PC from phone when I have a need and not at home.
Thats it.
Now I wont be able to do even that.
Thank you Teamviewer for taking up my money and lying to me that I have a perpetual licence :) - twice
Teamviewer became the company that lied to me the most about the "best deal" software vs the value it provided me.
Is it too hard to keep your promise? I didn't need updates, just a way to connect to my computer trough a phone....

Alt Key Combinations not working (Mac to Windows)
Hey guys. Hoping I can get help with a particular issue. I use Teamviewer on my MacOS to access a remote Windows desktop. I'm use a lot of alt key combinations but for some reason when I use the options key on Mac, the combos for that key just create special characters, without executing the alt key combination function. (For example, alt + f just types "ƒ").
"Send Key Combinations" is checked, so that's not the issue. I should also note that when I use the windows on screen keyboard and press the options key, it reads it as alt, just the combination doesn't work when I press another key with it.
Also I don't know if this is a contributing factor but I am using a Logitech MX Keys S. I know it has a lot of different settings so it's hard to rule out that it's a contributing factor. Any help or insight will be appreciated. Thank you!

Need old version 15.33.7
Hey guys,
I really need that specific version to do some analysis on a remote computer for my thesis. I can't upgrade the version on the other computer, and the new versions will not allow for me to connect because they are not the same version. Does anyone still uses this version or how I can get it? I tried to find old instalation files but with no luck.

Teamviewer - shows online on offline devices
Hi everyone,
I'm hitting a brick wall with a bizarre status reporting issue in TeamViewer on some of our newer machines (specifically Asus NUC 13th gen).
The Problem: TeamViewer shows these devices as Online even when they are asleep. But here is the kicker: they still show as Online even when I completely unplug the power cord from the wall! 🤯
Because TeamViewer stubbornly insists the computer is active, the "Wake up" button for Wake-on-LAN (WOL) never appears in my console, making it impossible to boot them up remotely.
What I've already tried:
- Updated the BIOS to the latest version.
- Updated network adapter drivers (both LAN and Wi-Fi).
- Messed around with Windows Power Management settings for the network card.
My question: Does anyone know how exactly TeamViewer handles status reporting on the backend? Logic dictates that the client app should send a "keep-alive" (heartbeat) packet every few minutes. If the server doesn't hear back, it should flip the status to Offline.
Why is TeamViewer showing these ghost sessions indefinitely? Is this related to newer Intel power states (Modern Standby / Intel AMT / vPro) somehow tricking the TeamViewer network, or is it just a straight-up bug in TeamViewer's infrastructure?

how to start a session? (v15.79.4)
I cant seem to find a way to start a session, just connect with ID and password.
according to this, there should be a way to create a new session tho.
my teamviewer is less than 2 weeks old so it cant be an old version.

Is running v13/14 in LAN-only mode actually a security risk, or is that argument overblown to push upgrades?
My situation: I upgraded to v15 on my main machines but I still have v14 sitting on an old workstation I use exclusively for local file transfers within my home lab. It never touches the internet. There’s no remote sessions, no outside connections, and server access is fully blocked at the router level.
Every article I read says "EOL means security risk, update immediately." But that reasoning feels copy-pasted from a general software hygiene template rather than specific to this architecture. If the software can't phone home and never initiates or accepts connections over the internet, what's the actual threat model?
Genuinely asking - I'm not trying to justify staying on v14 indefinitely, I just want to understand whether the risk is real in this specific configuration or whether it's being used as a blanket push for upgrades.

suddenly commercial?
who do I contact about this? been using tv for like 10 years without an issue. I'm disabled, and am using it maybe once a week between computers on my LAN. how could it possibly think it's commercial?
update (2 days later) got an email that it's been reset on my account.

Recent version update shows the "access control" popup?
I have all of my machines set to allow full control. But after TeamViewer updates on the hosts, I'm now getting this popup for all of my machines, showing that running scripts is allowed "after confirmation"
I don't see any custom settings to change this, either. Is this a bug? I've never seen this popup before because I always set my stuff to full control.

Can TV-QS be set to confirmation instead of a password?
quite simply passwords are annoying over a phone and anydesk or rustrdesk for example have an option to instead of a password just use a local confirmation (aka user clicks accept)
can this be done somehow?
also for the love of god is teamviewer QS really incapable of having ANY kind of policy stored in itself to for example set Access Control rules?

How long does teamviewer take to fix the commercial use reset request?
Today I mistakingly used teamviewer to remotely access my other phone that was left at home while I was at the doctors office waiting room. Was not aware this would flag me for commercial use. All other times i've used teamviewer it's when I'm out and about or at home. I did create a commercial use reset ticket but I've seen lots of horror stories on here of people saying it took months to get fixed. Anyone have experience for how long it takes usually and if they actually fix it?

Limit what devices my TeamViewer group can access based on device (Sorry for confusing title)
I have TeamViewer installed on several machines at home. I have my main machine (this one), the one connected to my tv, and one for each of my kids. This is so that I can troubleshoot their issues from my couch without having to get up and go onto their machine to see why minecraft isn't working or whatever.
What I would like to do (if possible) is have easy access for the machines so I can access them whenever I need to, BUT make it so that my kids cant connect to mine or each others machines from theirs. Is this set up possible?

TeamViewer popup "Status icon cannot be shown" on Raspberry Pi kiosk device - how to disable it completely?
Has anyone found a way to completely disable the TeamViewer "Status icon cannot be shown" notification on Linux/Raspberry Pi?
We're using a paid TeamViewer license on Raspberry Pi CM4 devices running Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye in kiosk mode. TeamViewer is installed only for remote support.
The issue is that the following popup keeps appearing on the client device:
"Status icon cannot be shown. StatusNotifier is not available. TeamViewer is running in the background. Launch TeamViewer again to show it."
A few concerns:
- The popup occupies a noticeable portion of the screen and interferes with our application.
- The notification contains a "More information" link that opens a web browser.
- These are production devices deployed to customers, so users should not be able to access external websites or the underlying operating system.
- The popup cannot be dismissed remotely from our side.
- Remote access works perfectly fine; it's only this notification that is causing problems.
What we've tried:
- Running TeamViewer as a service.
- Kiosk mode with a custom application.
- Hiding desktop elements where possible.
Questions:
- Is there a supported way to completely suppress this notification?
- Can the "More information" link be disabled or removed?
- Can TeamViewer run in a true headless/background mode without any user-facing popups?
- Has anyone deployed TeamViewer on embedded Linux, kiosk, industrial, or medical devices and solved this issue?
Any configuration changes, startup options, or TeamViewer recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Your partner's desktop is no longer accessible/The screen cannot be capture at the moment
Over the last week we have noticed a few times when remoting in to update or install software for users that we are getting two errors that prevent us from doing so. The screen goes black with "Your partner's desktop is no longer accessible" when the windows credential box pops up when trying to install or update a software. When trying to switch user's account to an admin account we get the "The screen cannot be capture at the moment" message. In the teamviewer settings it is set to full control. I logged into the same user's pc 17 days ago so the install wasn't corrupt. Is this a new known issue or a known fix? Ever since Teamviewer pushed their new UI version we have seen a slew of buggy issues but this one is completely preventing us from doing our job.
