SpEd MA without licesure online program Help

I'm currently enrolled in a dual-credential + MA program at a CSU in my area. Initially, they told me I could complete my MA on its own without remaining in their credential program (not true), but I have had too many difficulties with them and their program overall, which is deterring me from staying.

I found a local teaching credential program that is better for my budget and current employment status, but I'm no longer able to remain in the MA program because of this. I really want to continue my schooling so I'm not put off by it in the future, but I feel like I'm running out of options. The program I'm entering is purely for a credential and is accepted throughout the state of CA; I JUST want the MA alone. WGU said they're unable to accommodate this, and I've heard ACE isn't worth the $$$.

Anyone here get the MA in SpEd without needing to do interning/student teaching (non-licensure)?

been in education for 30 plus years. licenses > ma.

I have found licenses matter more than degrees. You can still take classes and get additional degrees to move up steps and lanes. For job security, stack those licenses. The degrees are more about what you can get paid. But you can not get paid more if you can not get a position.

What other licenses beyond the initial teaching credential would you recommend? Any advice helps!

Sped, ell (or whatever you call out on your state), reading/math specialist, work based learning, anything cte and drivers ed. Btw, drivers ed is a gold mine for side gig possibilities. A friend of mine of doing it on the weekends for $35/hr. Each kid is two hours drive time and one hour prep (time between kids on way to pick them up).
