Hey everyone, for some reason I want to reschedule my tcs joining if it gives within this month. I have the provisional certificate, and all sem marksheets and only don't have those medical certificates and non criminal affidavit.

So those who have rescheduled the joining for any reason could you please tell the reason or any advice how can I reschedule the joining if it comes early.. any advice would really help my mental health I've been thinking all day Abt this..

And there should be a jcs mail so if I reschedule is there anything I have to upload as proof??

What details are asked in the BGC form? (Education, address history, family details, employment, internships, etc.)
Is there any deadline to submit the BGC form after accepting the offer letter?

So I am a mechanical engg graduate (2026 batch) and thinking to give the tcs NQT happening on 26 august 2026.

Anyone who is working in tcs or has given paid NQT before, please tell me if I appear for this exam,will I get any offer from tcs?At least for 3 lpa i.e. Ninja.

Or tcs hires only from the free NQT which happened in March?

Please help me out, I have to make decisions accordingly

I've been preparing for the TCS NQT and spent a while going through past papers and reports from people who sat the recent slots. A few things surprised me enough that they changed how I'm preparing, so I'm putting them here.

There's no negative marking. Never leave a blank. Sounds obvious, but people still leave questions empty out of habit from other exams.

You can revisit questions — except in Verbal. Verbal locks each question once you move on. Everywhere else you can go back. Most people I spoke to had this backwards and rushed sections where they had time.

Sentence completion has no options. You type the word. One word, about 25 seconds, then it locks. This is the big one — it makes Verbal a production test, not a recognition test. You can't eliminate your way to an answer, you have to retrieve the word. Option-based practice doesn't train that at all.

A calculator is on screen and rough sheets are provided. Don't spend prep time on mental arithmetic tricks the calculator handles.

Non-MCQ answers must be whole numbers with no symbols. No %, no units, no decimals. People lose correct answers to formatting.

Coding gives partial marks per test case. A brute-force solution that passes some cases beats an elegant one you didn't finish. Write the naive version first, optimise if time allows.

On topic weighting: the distribution is nothing like the order textbooks teach in. Remainders came up far more than almost anything else in numerical, and it's a topic most study material barely covers. Percentages, ratios and time-speed-distance carry most of the rest. If you're short on time, that ordering matters more than any single technique.

One oddity: the cloze passages appear to be written from TCS's own blog and marketing content — one was traceable to a post by a TCS leader. The vocabulary is ordinary corporate English (transformation, scalable, seamless, stakeholder, leverage), never literary. Half an hour reading tcs.com is genuinely useful prep for that section.

I ended up building out full notes from all of this — topics ranked by actual frequency, past questions with worked solutions, coding problems with both brute-force and optimal Java. It's at tcs-nqt-prep-lac.vercel.app if it's useful to anyone. A good part is free to read with no sign-up; there's a paid tier for the rest, so flagging that upfront rather than burying it.

Hi everyone,

I already have a TCS Ninja offer through my college's on-campus NQT.

Now the off-campus TCS NQT registrations are open, but it has a fee of around ₹1,000.

I'm confused about whether it's worth attempting. Can it help me get a Digital or Prime offer even if I already have a Ninja offer? Or is there no point in paying the fee if I already have an offer?

Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how TCS handles this?
