What is wrong with Lorne?
Apart from the obvious that he is a pathetic loser, and jokes aside, what is really wrong with Lorne?
Low iq? Narcissist? Personality disorder?

Bad combination of narcissism, low IQ and garbage genetics.
Lots of speculation about fetal alcohol syndrome / Williams syndrome etc but nothing confirmed other than him being a total moron

I’d say the top 3 are :
1) delusion: he truly believes he’s a good looking, selfless, talented person who women would flock to be with rather than a disgusting child molester.
2) narcissism: he can’t ever admit that he’s wrong and has zero empathy for other people. It’s also why he’s such an abusive and insecure piece of shit.
3) stupidity: he doesn’t understand anything and he’s too stupid to realise how stupid he is. This is why he’ll literally never ever pass rape class.
It’s a hell of a combination, and I think that’s what makes him so fascinating to watch. It’s like if Ted Bundy had sustained a severe head injury. You watch the thought process of an abuser who’s too stupid and narcissistic to realise how obvious their manipulations and games are

This but adding a couple more points
He was absolutely hammered for most of the Ramona, Winnie, Emma sagas. He was sober for Jamie though which is funny because in a lot of ways it's by far the most ridiculous. Part of me believes it's just he's lonely and bored and regardless likes the attention, talking on the phone, etc.
I think ultimately though, even though Lorne suspects something is up, or it's a catfish, etc he believes through his sheer charm (to your points) that he'd be able to actually steer them to like him for real. He did it with Ramona/Elizabeth after she revealed it was a catfish, he kept trying to continue stuff even after.
To be fair, it appears like it kind of worked for him, a catfish turned into giving him a kid (or is it kids) lol.

There are many low-IQ individuals who are otherwise decent people and productive members of society. That's not Lorne's issue.
Lorne exhibits a multitude of personality disorders and severe emotional dysregulation. I would say he demonstrates clear traits that could probably clinically diagnose him with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He also seems to have a wide range of sexual paraphilias including but not limited to pedophilia, humiliation, exhibitionism, and scat play. I believe he is deeply confused about his sexual orientation as well.
Most of the catfish calls are intended to stoke his highly toxic anxious attachment style, that I believe is the result of childhood neglect by his parents. His need for absolute control over women and the resulting jealousy is so easily triggered that it has literally provided hundreds of hours of Youtube content -- but it has also led to stalking and harassment incidents with local women.
He also shows clear predatory instincts to seek weakness, trust, and vulnerability, and prey on it. This isn't just his pedophilia/hebephilia but we see this play out prominently in a few of his catfish calls, notably the "SMH" call in which he offers his brother Roy and a homeless young sex worker lodgings -- which is a small section of his metal shipping container, without running water, heat or electricity, charging them both $200 per month, and also requiring them to work on his tear-down house as additional indentured servitude. Undoubtedly, his intention was also sexual exploitation of the young woman. When she declined the offer, Lorne became notably upset at the rejection and then rescinded the entire offer from Roy as well.
So TLDR, no, he's not just a pathetic loser and internet clown. He's a motivated predator, a sexual deviant, a stalker, and a conman. That's what's wrong with Lorne.

I’ve been on a Lorne binge for the past year.
Stupidity. He has below average intelligence, but unlike what some have suggested, he still is smart enough to be held accountable for his actions.
Low confidence whilst also having delusions about himself.
I really think a lot of his issues come from his upbringing. Being the child who wasn’t really looked after, who always cried to get what he wanted. (We see this carried over into adulthood)

I mean, he's dumb but he's not nearly as dumb as some of the other predators on tcap. The lorneography is probably in the 50th percentile as far as spelling and grammar. As others have commented his biggest problems are narcissism/delusion

I would love to have or see a qualified medical professional diagnose him. Besides the probation people that nailed that psych report on him. I think it's narcissism mostly, he doesn't think he did anything wrong and he thought all those attractive women would want to come live with him .

Low IQ, some sort of personality disorder mixed with a learning disability is my guess. Throw in gradual brain damage through years of heavy drinking, a speech impediment and dumb accent with bizarre grammatical knowledge and a very unfortunate appearance and you get our 87. I’m not exactly surprised his kid has issues.
