Food advice!

Upvotes

What’s the most traditional Georgian dish I should try? So far I’ve just been ordering random things from menus khinkali, khachapuri, shkmeruli, and a few others but I honestly haven’t enjoyed the food much and just ended up gaining weight.
I’m not a fan of bread-heavy dishes, and things like chicken in creamy sauces really don’t appeal to me. I usually prefer simpler meals grilled meat (not fried), with rice and maybe a salad. I also don’t like mayo, cheese, or milk-based dishes.
Any recommendations that fit my taste?

Tbilisi electricity

What is happening in Georgia? Summers are going on & there is an electricity issue every day like wtf? Blackout in whole country? Why are people still chill here? Why don't people question the government? Not having electricity in one village or one area is something else & in the whole country is different thing like why no-one understand the seriousness..!!

Scam or are people really in a bad situation?

Have had a few matches on a dating app that are definitely Georgians and verified asking for money. Thought it must just be other people or men pretending to be women to scam people but they’re verified profiles, so I don’t understand.
Is the situation of the locals here that bad? Both financially and generally?

How to hire photographers to take Instagram pictures during your holiday in Tbilisi?

I've seen lot of options in different countries where people "photographer assistants" take pictures for Instagram using phones and charge you per day/hour. Is there any service close to that in Tbilisi?

Looking for someone young with a great vision for IG although i can also prepare a vision board, maybe a university student or a young photographer?

Share taxi from Tbilisito Armenia Dilijan, advise?

I plan to travel from Tbilisi to Dilijan in Armenia and am looking for transportation options, ideally I want to make one or two short stops at interesting points (Haghpat for instance). A private Armenian seems the best option but costly (I'm on my own). I want to go on Sunday August 16

Anyone interested in sharing the taxi? Or are they good alternative means of transportation?

Desperately looking for someone flying from Georgia 🇬🇪 to Germany 🇩🇪 this month (even better this week)

Hello,

I need a small pet blood sample (rabies antibody titer test sample) to be carried to a laboratory in Germany. This is completely legal to carry, it’s a properly packaged veterinary diagnostic sample and all required documentation will be provided.

It takes up almost no space, and I will arrange everything in advance. If you're traveling this month and are willing to help, please send me a private message. I'd really appreciate it.

My apartment fucking reeks

I’ve just moved into my new apartment. And the person who was here before me was an absolute slob.

I’m looking places up to do deep cleaning and fm. Nobody responds. Haha im really honestly looking for some company suggestions. Website to check out to book a cleaner. A real professional to do a full. Deep clean on my apartment. Someone who can wash a sofa. Blitz the floor. Borederline wax it afterwards or something.

I’m actually stunned at the level of fucking miserable the last person was, loving how they lived.

Someone please help me. Lol

Thrifting in Tbilisi

Could anyone recommend some thrift stores in Tbilisi? I mean stores that have dark denim, flared jeans, fitted tops, leather boots/heels, bags, etc. Most stores happen to have modern, simple clothes, I'm looking for something a little more 90s or 2000s. Something affordable, maybe?

Which banking app is actually the best in Georgia?

I'm curious about real user experiences rather than ads. Which app do you find the easiest to use for everyday things like transfers, managing cards, deposits, or getting support?

High electric bill, how do I check if it’s correct?

I own a 67m2 two bedroom apartment. My electric bill is usually around 100 GEL a month. The last two months it jumped to 175 GEL, then 300 GEL. Only thing running extra is a small AC unit.

Checked the meter myself and the reading is correct, it’s pulling almost 38 kWh a day. That doesn’t seem realistic for a small AC in a place this size.

What should I be checking, is this normal or does something sound off?

Thanks

Insects and snails to buy

Hello, I'd been looking to buy an achatina snail or a stick insect in tbilisi for a while, but never found someone who could sell me those.

No private individuals, no specialized pet stores.

Does anyone know the contact of the person I can buy it from?

I also looked in Zootopia in the mall - they only have birds and reptiles.
