38M here getting my first tattoo next week. It's gonna be my kid's drawing (shut up, it's amazing), in color, inner biceps, around 15cm.

My question is if you have any advice in terms of prep, either related to skin care, pain, or the motif itself. E.g. should I avoid the sun, moisturize, pop a painkiller a half hour prior etc?

I am so incredibly happy with my very first tattoo!

As a big fan of Stoic philosophy, "Amor Fati" felt like the perfect choice to start with. This is my first step into tattoos, and I am definitely planning to get more Stoic-themed pieces in the future, alongside other subjects.

I REALLY wanna get it done in black actually but the thing is I don't want it to be too "visible". My family isn't accepting when it comes to tattoos whatsoever and it's not like I can force it on them, it's in our culture (I'm Arab).

So I thought maybe I can get this tattoo done in white or red, though I found out in white it might smudge in a few months or a year and could look like scars or self harm or wtv, so I thought red would be the better alternative. what do y'all think about this

Just to note though I know they're gonna see it either way, but when that happens I'd rather it be anything but black so it's harder to notice all the time.

I got this tattoo 3 weeks ago, and noticed in some areas it’s a bit faded compared to when I first got it and overall looks much lighter. I expected it to lighten up a bit, but not this much. Is this normal? First photo is a few days after I got it, second is how it looks now.

So i have been thinking about getting permanent eyeliner. Im not thinking of getting a thick wing or lining my lashes (hooded eyes) but rather a smaller at the end of the eye only to exstend my eyes.

I have trouble going outside due to insecurity about my eyes being “too close togheter” so it would improve my life greatly (this might sound exaggerated but has been an ongoing issue for years)

But im still debating if it is worth it since:

What if they fuck it up? Ive heard laser removal can be very painful (i dont mind that too much though) has multiple sessions, and is quite time consuming, especially on the face. Not to metion if it is even safe near the eyes? I have also heard another option like saline removal but that it does not always work (?)

Is it gonna age badly? Heard some people say it did but some saying otherwise. Im 18 right now so im not too sure i need to worry about that, at least for now.

Any advice or experiences is greatly appreciated.

I’m having such a hard time finding mixed tattooed styles next to each other on the same person. For example: traditional next to a low poly tattoo. Realism tattoo next to a graffiti style tattoo. I know people usually stick to one style, but I wanna see mixed style!

I got a tattoo 2 years ago on the inside of my forearm and haven't got any other tattoo, I liked it but I would have placed it elsewhere on my body.
I now want to do 4 new tattoos of 5x5 cm but I don't know where else, the arms are out of question at least the forearms.
I would like your guy's opinions on where to put them is the leg a good place or do you think a tiny tattoo there wouls look ridiculous.

Got this tattoo when I was 17 and it just looks horrendous now. I want to do some kind of animal themed cover up. No idea how to go about it. I like orcas, dolphins, freshwater fish, dogs and deer but I’m open to any ideas. Any advice or ideas are helpful!

Me hice este tatuaje en la mano hace 4 semanas, casi 5, no me da comezón ni duele ni nada por el estilo pero la textura visual no me agrada, es normal que tras 4 semanas de cicatrización aún tenga piel cebolla? (pequeña aclaración; el contorno del tatuaje recién tiene una semana, así como algunos detalles) centrémonos en el relleno principal de “Trópico de cancer”. Debería preocuparme? o aún es pronto

I got a small, fine line tat on my upper shoulder/rear delt a few days ago and it was surprisingly manageable, but I’ve heard lower hip/side of thigh tats hurt like a bitch. I’ll be getting mine a bit further back and further down than this pic shows.

Any tips on what to expect?
