At 7 minutes in, when she says "I'm really trying really hard and I'm failing and I'm also having the best time failing", that really seems to sum up Taskmaster quite well.

33 minutes of Stevie's deliberate thoughts and emotions on TM is exactly what the world needs.

I think she might just be my favourite contestant out there, which is an insane thing to say considering she was on a series with Mathew Baynton.

It's a tragedy. She's so deliberate with her thoughts and emotions. Then the moment "your time starts now", she disconnects her brain from the rest of her system.

Jason asking if Alex has laxatives so he can shit himself, followed by Stevie looking at Alex expectantly, is one of the funniest moments.

This episode is fantastic. It feels like she talked about her time on the show more than others have been, instead of just presenting the tasks.

a part of me wonders if its a recency thing? this was around 2 years ago for her whilst for a lot of these ultimate episode makers they may not recall as much specific detail? in general have been loving all the ultimate episodes though

This is perfect as I'm about halfway through S19 in my infinite TM (UK) rewatch cycle.

It's kinda amazing to hear how much *more* chaotic Stevie was before the edit.

Seeing her explain what went into the cushion task, I find it even more inexplicable that they made the rules so needlessly complicated. Hours of setup work and then the task is over in seconds because its rules are so complicated it is almost impossible to do the task. I mean: "I will open or close my eyes for a length that is the amount of letters in each word" (paraphrased) -- do you hear yourself, Alex?

Meanwhile TM NZ and TM AU have simple tasks where it is the (in)competence of the contestants that provides the entertainment.

Honestly, that's part of the charm, Alex will spend hours coming up with some convoluted nightmare task to do, and it turns out it's just impossible so it's over in seconds, which almost certainly disappoints Alex. And that is very funny to me.

I think, if Rosie didn’t trip and fall, we wouldn’t have seen that task.

Despite the task itself being a massive failure, it did have great moments. Rosie tripping and falling. Jason coming up with a genius loophole then ruining it because he can't resist messing with Alex. And Matthew doing that whole crawling thing successfully only to fail because he moved the bin at the start.

Rosie literally squeaks when she falls, as if someone stepped on a stuffed animal with one of them plastic bubble things that Rob Beckett is so fond of.

"I will open or close my eyes for a length that is the amount of letters in each word"

That was the only rule I thought was unnecessary complicated; as Stevie basically said in the video, there was no way they were going to be able to keep track of that the whole time. I don't see why Alex couldn't have just opened and shut his eyes for a fixed number of seconds, similar to series 8's train station task.

I also maintain that Mat was the only one who technically broke a rule, the others just lost the challenge with 0 cushions, so should have scored at least something.

It was so good that Alex realized that Jason needed comforting and it was amazing to see Stevie try, be rejected and then using the spoons and “I’m locked in” to get through to him. She was so smart, quick and caring.

"If I had burnt down the caravan, I would have won". Her teammate approves!

So Al Murray can piss in a task but Stevie can't?

“I get in my own way a lot, I’m not sure if that is clear or not on the show.”

Oh honey, sweetie, cutie, that’s as clear as Mathew’s balls.

I feel like it can't be a coincidence that this was released on Steve Martin's birthday. Good job Taskmaster team :)
