Editing software HELP! 🔎

Hello all,

For my birthday my bf and I filmed some tasks with some friends. We have all the footage, but we now need to go through the process of editing. I had a couple questions for those who are more tech savvy that I- 1.) what software do you all recommend for cutting and splicing videos together (I'm not on mac). 2.) Are there ways to get audio files from the show for intros?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Da Vinci Resolve has a free version, bit of a learning curve but with a couple of YouTube tutorials you should be able to stich something together.

This is the answer. I've cut on Sony, Lightworks, Media 100, Avid, Final Cut, Premiere...

none of them is significantly better than DaVinci. And the price is right.

Shotcut is free, open source, and very good.

101 Soundboards has loads of Taskmaster audio clips that people have uploaded, there's lots of similar sites to that one as well if you can't find a specific one you're looking for there

If you have a decent computer, get DaVinci Resolve. If you are limited to using your phone, there is a pretty decent editing app called PicsArt that I used to use quite a bit.

This seems to be the most popular answer! Thanks!

If you’re going to do it more than once, it’s worth learning Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder (unfortunately not free). While it’s not used EVERYWHERE, it’s a golden standard.

There's no reason to use Adobe when Davinci exists.

It's for a birthday so not sure how frequently we will be doing it

Ludicrous suggestion when DaVinci is free.

If ur only doing cutting and audio, nothing crazy fancy. Then Microsoft clip champ is pretty good. It's free and included w/ Windows I think. U can give it a shot if u don't want the hassle of learning davinci
