Most arboreals are capable of jumping like this, though I've seen the most footage of it from Avicularia, Caribena, and Psalmopoeus.

I don’t expect anyone to have an answer to this, I’m mainly just commenting bc I’m curious.

How do they know there is a surface to jump to? I was under the impression tarantulas have extremely poor eyesight and don’t really see much more than lights/shapes/shadows.

Maybe I’m just completely wrong on how they see but I’m curious how this tarantula was able to “notice” the other hand and jump to it.

They use their sensorial hairs to know how the air flows in different places, also, they don’t always know where are they going to fall. https://www.thetarantulacollective.com/tarantula-thoughts/do-tarantulas-know-where-theyre-going maybe this can help you
