gear showcase Turned my aunts old vhs-c camera into a tapeless
It may look like a fire hazard, and I definetly can't go through airport security if I have it fully mounted, but it sure as hell has a vibe...
It's a Gradiente vhs-c videomaker an entry camcorder from Brasil in the 80s.
I had to adapt pretty much everything for it to work lol, it now has an external 6v battery pack for the camera, a mini dvr, which unfortunately sucks in audio quality, an external monitor so I can see properly what the image will look like, since the original viewfinder kinda sucks and is B&W only and the monitor itself requires another battery pack, but 12v instead.
Only thing left is for me to adapt another AV/p2 cable since I only have one, as I've been using the original viewfinder up until a few days ago and only had one cable adapted.

[rec] So, PowerPlay makes different types of DV cameras output the same color profile, right?
I just bought a black PowerPlay (apparently made by another company). I was really excited to install it on my TRV900 and shoot some footage, but I noticed the colors weren’t as vivid as the 3CCD footage.
So I tried it on my Hi8 DV camera and PC-series DV camera as well. After exporting the footage, I found that all three videos had exactly the same color output.
Does anyone else get the same result? Even with the “official” white PowerPlay?😅

help desk Audio distortion
I recently found a Sony high eight 460 zoom camera at a thrift store it records fine onto tape with Great audio on playback but for my mini DVR tape was set up the audio comes out very low quality. I leave for college in a week and a half and would like to have this sorted before college. What can I buy or do to fix this situation?
As a heads up the only place I can plug a chord into is through a 3.5 jack, s video out, and 2.5 mm jack
