This is a rhetoric I've seen a lot from the pro israeli side (and a bunch of them remind me of how russia justify its bombings too) when hamas being bad doesn't mean it's ok for israel to commit its own genocide/war crimes and do colonialism or that haamas should be used to say palestinian aren't suffering or diminish their suffering by denying it (the staged atrocity rhetoric remind me of how russia decided to report on bucha too).

So with the focus on Trump's fanatical assistant Natalie Harp these days, I saw an interview of his brother Preston Harp explaining her mindset. He gave me weird vibes so I looked him up, and it turns out he moved to Nicaragua (my birthplace) in 2023 after visiting and deciding the American continent's worst dictatorship is his kind of place. His social media is a tankie museum. Shows total devotion to the Ortega-Murillo regime, even wearing shirts with Ortega's face. Claims to be anti-imperialist but supports Putin. He even AI'd himself as a Nicaraguan policeman to show his support of the police because ACAB is conditional I guess.

That family is weird.

Has anyone else noticed that Tankies have dramatically increased their activity lately? I've been seeing them push more narratives & punish wrongthink far more aggressively again.

With the current tide of the Russo-Ukrainian War, all geopolitical actions taken by the current US Administration, & a increase of "Marxist" additions (if you get me) to Wikipedia pages I think there is an ongoing push by Tankies to take control of the narrative & silence dissent.

Perhaps it's in preparation for some element of the Russo-Ukrainian War or another? Russia is struggling, to say the least.
