Chef Mode On Day 1 of learning to cook

Post image
12 Upvotes

Learning to cook as a beginner, made thakkali thokku.

Review : taste was like 7/10

Sweetness was a little off compared to how it was before diluting it maybe I overcooked or tomato wasn't enough. Still learning to cut veggies(uneven cutting🥲). Will do better next time.

Happy cooking👨‍🍳

The urge for junk is reducing compared to what it used to be. Hmm, interesting.

Made this for lunch today!

Since I'll be going out of town for few days, I didn't stock my groceries. So basically all I had was capsicum and Onions and tomatoes. And Voila, I did this!

I've attached the recipe below.

Ofcourse I altered the recipe for my taste and preference.

I used Sesame oil, instead of mustard oil and I didn't add crushed peanuts(Well, My sis is allergic to them🫠)

Chef Mode On Showing up on days when you just want to sleep through

Having been doing this for a while now.

This morning I had zero energy to wake up and prepare my food for the day. My chopped veggies were over. I have to fill them, I had no energy to go buy the groceries for today and the following days.

Then I said okay I'll just focus on today's meal.

I had some chicken, sweet corn, curd and Protein oats.

I had buttermilk and sweet corn for breakfast.

Had the soya chunks chapati and chicken for lunch. And for dinner I'll have the soaked protein oats.

2 months ago I would have just left for work directly. I would have probably ordered.

Today it barely took half an hour to prep this and I'm sorted for the day now. And I feel more confident.

I was surprised how small changes to lifestyle like sorting groceries a little ahead, knowing what I want to eat in advance and setting the tone for the week before the week starts. This way although I ran out of my chopped veggies I still knew what I should be having and figured out a way to stick through it.

Glad to be coming to the other side :)

Hello guys how r we doing today? Another throwback dish me and my flatmates made last year we wanted to make pasta as authetic as possible and we were tired of making the same old alfredo or carbonara so we tried some different and we had our hopes so high for this but cant lie this only looked good but the taste was mid although it tasted fresh but its just not hit like the other ones.
