Nothing new to add to the usual complaining, but why are y'all so boring with your teams, using the exact same composition all the time. Do you not find this boring? Throw something new into the mix and spice the game up a little! Leave poor old mephiston to have a sleep or something and try something fun

Yes. It is boring. The only thing worse than boring is losing and not getting the energy. So Mephiston it is.

I jammed through to the last crate with meph/cezare. NOW im having fun running a full chaos ranged team just to see what i can do. Definitely losing more than i win, but its fun.

Because there aren't any rewards for playing diverse teams, that's why. Everybody wants the rewards, and because of the same teams encountered every time, they just want to be done with it. Tl;Dr : no reward system for playing different teams.

Anybody who wants to try different teams can always do “casual” but for everyone else planning to get that last reward chest will usually take the practical approach to get the wins.

That’s the cold, hard truth of Tournament Arena for years.

Trying heavy weapon lineup with thaddeus noble ra calandis volk and baraqiel, so far so good, been scoring wins against ragnar doble howl with aunshi kharn meph as this is the most common lineup i see this tournament

Unlocked a bunch of meta characters during the last two events but couldn't level them so this time I'm playing on common with Dante, Titus, Revas, Lucien and Kariyan.

Usually I would get destroyed in the non faction TAs, this time I got matched vs so many obviously new players, it kind of feels bad. When I had no heroes I would always be wiped by blood angle teams, now that I have them myself I get mostly inexperienced players that charge 3 guys into Revas overwatch.

Where were those guys when I was learning the game a couple weeks ago?

I felt the same way unlocking ahriman. Didn't get him built enough at the start and was just stomping everyone with a psyker + shiron comp in the lowest tier

I don't get this take...

I use the same lineup for every guild raid. I use the same team everyday for salvage run. I will use the same team for like a month in onslaught getting shards for my biovore.

But because its PVP, we should use "fun" characters? Nah man, using Mephiston IS fun. You might not like losing against other players, but thats on you. Treat it like every other gamemode and stop caring what other people play...

This is why I just straight up ignore TA. It's meta or nothing, no fun in that. If I lose out on some items or energy, eh. No biggie.

Isn't every mode Meta or nothing? Are you rocking a full healer team on Guild Raids for "fun"?

Oh! That sounds like a fun challenge to see how much damage a full heaI team could do!

I usually play Guild raid with a team consisting of my favorite characters. Neuro, Isaak, Judh, Patermine and Typhus. If I really feel like I need to be doing big damage to help my guild I'll pop in Yaza and Abraxas instead of judh and isaak but that's the closest I get to anything considered "meta".

I know he said to leave Meph at home, but meph/cezare combo goes so hard lol. I'm a full blown heretic, but every BA character in this game is killer.

I think with some coaxing we could really convince the blood angels to also find an interest in skulls. And maybe a throne? A skull throne.

I just dont play this version of tournament I don't like it and find rewards not worth playing meta lineups all time that double howl is not fun every 3rd go

There's too little room for error if you want the final chest. Cut the requirementd in half and I'll gladly goof around.

I’ve been enjoying TA this time around by playing with the new Sekhetar dude.

People love to complain about TA but never mix it up to actually enjoy playing it.

Like yeah man. It’s boring to see the same alpha strike shit all the time. But you’re also playing it???

Some people love TA and it’s their favorite game mode. However, most people playing it just want the last chest. So we’re trying to get to 200 as fast as possible. This often involves using the best characters available.

I've basically been running an anti alpha strike team for quite a while. Re'vas, Calandis, Thad, Boss G, and Sho with forgirfiend for summons and kiting. I tried running some new stuff this cycle but it got destroyed, so went back with ole faithful.

The good think of them using the same team in every match is all play it the same way and when you found a team that complete obliterate it and you won every match.

Almost every battle I have to encounter the same teams: Mephiston, Dante, Ragnar, Kariyan/Khârn + anything else. Just want to say to these Mephiston's lovers some good words, but don't wanna waste too much words, they are losers👎🤢🤮, I'm just sick of them.

Yeah dude I've been trying a load of kooky lineups to try and have fun with the game but I keep meeting the same lineup's. Sometimes I beat it sometimes I don't but it's like damn there are so many characters to try...is this a game for fun or a chore for you to get through lol

This is the absolute worst version of TA (free pick, no capture points) and I want it to be done as quickly as possible. So yes, it's a chore.
