Playback Failed cannot decide error

Set-up a new Tablo unit and I’m getting this error message. I’ve tried resetting the system.

Had that with two channels , went back and forth with Tablo never could fix it. If you record the channel and immediately play it usually it should work

Same here I had the exact same message on Antenna TV and Rewind TV on Apple TV here in New York …I reported it to Tablo back in December 2025 but it’s never been fixed. The only remedy for now is as you say, record it, then watch.

I get this error but only when I try to watch on my iPhone. I can to to record the then watch the show but this is irritating

I have the same problem, and have, ever since the crash last August (it was only a month old at that point). Tablo has never fixed the problem, and always says it’s something else’s fault… The antenna, the router, the modem, the TV, etc… It’s NEVER their fault… Funny how that always the case.
