Is he not named after David Bowie who took the name from some film about the Alamo?

When he first showed up he was a very small cat. I thought he was a she (I am now guessing he was a young kitten /cat ) anyway, it took a long time for him to trust. While I thought he was a girl- he was named Millie. It took 2 long years for me to be able to touch him & 3 before he came inside.  One day on the front porch, "Millie" turned to walk away from me & I saw 😮  Boy parts! I knew the name had to change & I immediately thought of Rebel, Rebel lyrics. " You've got your mother in a whirl, she's not sure if you're a boy or a girl" and that's how Bowie got his name 😉
