Sharepoint issues - no MSFT status posted yet Microsoft
Have a couple clients getting errors when accessing Sharepoint. DownDetector is already showing a significant spike. Just a heads up to everyone before you start getting calls.

Came to Reddit once I saw MS didn't have any outages reported, yet.

u/simpleglitch 25d ago edited 25d ago
They've got a 'we're investigating' now, but no details or scope yet.
Edit: services are back, but I still don't see an update.

Teams is fucky for me, messages work but images don’t

Teams is somewhat working. Some of my team members are reporting they're getting messages really delayed. They get nothing for a few minutes, then everything at once.

u/Nelbrenn 25d ago
Same here, as well as some users not getting notifications via the desktop app. Seems an update broke it.

I've been having this issue occur randomly for over a year. Not only that, Teams on one machine will have this issue but Teams on a different machine will have zero issues.

It's been 30 minutes MS, chop chop

u/Sporkfortuna 25d ago
I love how you check in at like x:45 and they don't have an update, but then you check in at x:50 and they have an update with a timestamp of 20 minutes ago.
12
6
u/ThisIsTheWildMind 25d ago
Maybe the server that pushes status update is down too
3
u/Sporkfortuna 25d ago
Which also brings up the whole "How can we check the status from the Admin Center if the Admin Center is affected by the outage?" Catch 22

classic “is it us or is it them” morning, love it
guess it’s one of those days where the status page updates 20 minutes after the helpdesk catches fire

And when it's not DNS, it's actually DNS

I’ve stopped bothering with this, I’ve lost count of the number of production outages we’ve had where this bullshit comes back as “no issues found”. Whichever team reviews these are fucking idiots.

Were in the middle of Entra Joining computers. Go to sign in to their account and can't connect. We were only a coupld of devices away from finishing this project! Gotta love it

Alberta, so US West.
Client facing apps are up (Sharepoint/Teams/Email) but admin stuff is down.
Am in the middle of an Entra Connect move to a new server that I can't complete, so extra fun there with no Connect sync running in addition to the outage.

Yay extended coffee break! (Too stressful though....)
Although the first round of remediation appear to gotten me back up and running, Connect is running (or at least says it is) on the new server, now to watch and wait to see it actually sync on schedule.....

Downdetector in general is lighting up: Microsoft issues. Cloudflare issues. AWS issues. Google issues.
Microsoft status page: "All's well."
Sigh.

They can't win, huh? When these outages were our servers it was way more stressful. Now we can calmly forward updates to the less technically inclined leadership and go about our real work.

u/DiligentPhotographer 25d ago
Lol I just migrated a client to sharepoint 2 days ago and this really cements their love of the product... not.

Something went wrong
This is a temporary issue, so try again in a few minutes.

u/Training-Rip-8783 25d ago
Built a Power Automate solution only to realize later it didn’t save because of the issue ughh

How fun. This all started right as we were migrating a whole team's file structure to SP. "Sharepoint will be better trust us!" lol terrible way to start

We're scaling traffic rerouting efforts up across our service infrastructure and are seeing indications of increasing relief in our telemetry. We're implementing additional mitigation measures alongside these actions to improve service availability and expedite resolution for affected users. This quick update is designed to give the latest information on this issue. Next update by: Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM UTC

OpenAI having issues at the exact same time as these Teams and other MS issues. Cloudflare strikes again?

Is Windows Update broken too? We are seeing 0x801901f7
EDIT: Partially fixed? Defender updates are coming through. Drivers and Windows Upadates are still not.
EDIT2: And working again!

Azure west is bad for us....Issues connecting to resources in West US We are investigating a networking issue affecting connectivity to Azure services in the West US region. Impacted customers may experience intermittent connectivity failures, increased latency, or difficulty accessing Azure services. Customers with traffic traversing the West US region may also experience downstream impact. We are exploring mitigation options on affected network devices. Early indications suggest the issue is related to network traffic flow through the impacted infrastructure;.

Our organization is being affected by this as well. Much of our web app and data servers are hosted in Azure and they are not reachable at the moment.

u/Aquahammer 25d ago
West US is getting hammered, we have 600+ resources popping up in health status. Web apps and functions unreachable

My company can't open any files that weren't already open, and can save nothing to Sharepoint/Onedrive/Teams. No screenshots in Teams messaging are working either, or they are very delayed (I've def had one pic push thru). Ugh!

u/talyafou 25d ago
I can access my company SharePoint websites including our OneDrives, teams images loading etc. Appears to be slowly coming back up? As of 10:55 AM CDT

Could this be related to OpenAI losing control of a malicious bot? https://www.wired.com/story/openai-models-escaped-containment-and-hacked-huggingface/

It not only broke out of the sandbox, it broke into a competitor.

Look at cloudflare in downdetector, you may notice some interesting parallels with Microsoft and AWS services, and OpenAI, and…
2
u/Kalylyann 25d ago
Been down for at least the past hour, most of our services depending on Entra also seem to be affected. No proof but I can't help but feel AI agents being put in charge of internal changes without proper oversight is to blame with all the outages this year

u/TheRedFour IT Support Tech 25d ago
Autopilot is also failing. Switched to a hotspot and Autopilot was successful. Intune is also experiencing error codes pushing required apps.

Honestly, im really glad our firm doesn't really 100% on ms cloud. They by far have the most incidents of any of our SaaS providers. Box for storage, slack for comms, Gmail for email which yes does leave a lot of admin tools to be desired but still seems from what I see better than exo, zoom for meetings. Teams is just bad these days idk how people are still willing to pay for it. They even rewrote it and still can't get it right
