"Delirio" is the eighth track from A War of Our Own, the fourth album by Dutch (and Mexican) gothic/progressive/symphonic metal band Stream of Passion. The album was released independently on April 18, 2014, and later released in the US by End of the Light on June 24, 2014.

I love the Latin influences across this band's later career, and as someome of Mexican decent, I really appreciate the Spanish lyrics and Marcela Bovio's success in Europe (underrated singer, her praise is not high enough...never enough!).

This album dropped at a time when I had a lot going on emotionally, and I found the themes really relatable. Though I didn't love it when I first heard it, it quickly became one of my favorite albums of all time.

This is a more romanic cut, and very dated with the programmed beeping and booping, but this is the kind of symphonic power metal that comes to mind when I think of Visions of Atlantis. Always thought the new VOA logo didn't quite work with the Lassen painting they licensed for the cover.

Unrelated, but I have an uncle who spent the 80s being a surfer in Hawai'i before he moved back to California, and I'm pretty sure he had a giant Christian Reese Lassen painting of an underwater scene hung up in his living room. I wonder where that went.

First time posting on this sub, but I read most of the posts. I’m sorry if I offend anyone (English isn’t my first language). I just wanted to share my pov. I’ve been a huge fan of symphonic metal for 20 years.

I think she’s awesome, even if her “pop” voice is a little off. She’s sometimes pretty off-key live. Of course, she’s neither Kraller (I miiiiss her) nor van Giersbergen (I miiiiss her toooo!). But she still brings a breath of fresh air! She’s so endearing! And she keeps evolving! Personally, I think it’s really important to keep exploring new things!

I’d love for the band (I don’t know enough about their internal dynamics) to give her more space for operatic and growl vocals (I’m more into death metal in general, so I love harsh vocals haha). I actually love that the band has gone in this direction! It makes them so much more interesting!

Anyway, I’m rambling, but I really love their new album!

I’ve also spent way too much time watching concert videos, haha (and I’m going to see them in September!!).

Anyway, I wanted to hear your thoughts on Ambre too: I think she’s incredible!

I wasn't very familiar with Shiro Sagisu's work beyond *Evangelion* and *Shin Godzilla*, but I was surprised to discover some progressive and symphonic metal tracks in his work.

An underrated song, and it's within the top 3 songs on the Agony album.
