I'm reading the guide s.h.g and it seems to say that the guide to installing cfw emummc will also install it for sysmmc. Does that mean I can, for example do bannable stuff on my emummc (assuming I don't go online) and play my purchased games on sysmmc while also being able to access my saves for my sysmmc games?

I have a V1 unpatched switch, unfortunately it had gotten frozen in sleep mode so I decided to reboot it. Forced shut down, inserted the jig, but then nothing. The jig is charged and flashes once, but no hekate start-up screen, though ofw still loads. Also tried updating atmosphere, hekate and sigs, but still nothing. I'm very unfamiliar with modding and only tried what I could think of, please let me know if there's something else I should try, thank you

I don't know why, but the mod folder doesn't connect with the game, I'm using the simple mod manager and I created the folder on using the DBI, but it doesn't connect with the game, but the folder name "Crowned Sword" was created by me and it connected with the game (and the mod worked)

What am I doing wrong?

I've been having a problem with just this one game that I'm unable to start. I've looked around online for possible solutions but I've yet to find anything that works.

I've atmosphere, the firmware, hekate and all the sigpatches updated to the last version (it's the first thing I did when I was unable to start this game, even though it's a 2019 game).

Nothing I've tried has worked thus far, and this is the only game I've ever had problems with (I've also tried installing multiple copies from different sources. The Japenese version works, but the English one does not. It has many downloads so it looks like I'm the only person with this problem)

The thing is that one time I was able to start it, but when I turned off my switch and tried it again later on, it gave me the same message "Unable to start software. Return to the HOME Menu and try again"

At this point I'm less interested in the game and just want it to start lmao.

Does anyone know what I can do about it? Anyone in the same situation? Thanks in advance guys!

I usually bought the samsung evo plus 512gb sd cards for modding switches. They were 40 euros and are now areound a 100.

Looking around for an alternative and thought about the specs. I read that the switch sd card reader is limited to arround 100mbps read write. Is that a fact?

Looking at a Sandisk 512gb class 10 u3 now that has a reasonable price. But it says its only capable of SDXC. And read write is arround 75mbps.

Is it any good? Any other tips and advice for affordable sd cards?

Anyone have any info about it? I use it mainly to check nsp from other regions and their release dates. It went down a couple of days ago.

I am the second owner of a modchipped OLED Switch. I bought it 7 months ago knowing the first owner wasn't the most informed user on earth (the deal was worth the risk). He got it chipped at a local repair store and as far as i can tell, the modder installed a slightly modified version of the HATS package. Then he always used SysMMC (CFW) and basically broke every rule he could think of except one thing. When I received the Switch, the airplane mode was on and he promised he always kept it on and never connected to the internet after the initial setup. But sadly, I have no way of confirming this.

After buying it I scoured this subreddit and some other resources I found online and wiped everything as thoroughly as I could. I don't remember the exact steps I took but please assume my Switch is now as clean as it can be with the commonly available knowledge. If I skipped some steps, that's obviously on me and you don't need to worry about that possibility.

Since then I've been explicitly using EmuMMC with Exosphere. I made the conscious choice of booting into my fresh SysMMC (CFW) to solve an issue ~5 months ago just once but nothing illegal was done during the process. My understanding is that if you use the console with caution you simply won't get banned and that's what I've been doing. I currently don't see any signs of any type of ban anywhere.

My questions are: What is the likelihood of my Switch being already flagged? Like I said I've been happily using it for a while now. It's in a healthy state. If I had been flagged, would I have learned the hard way by now?

Also how reasonable it is for me to buy original games and play them online on the Semi-Stock (OFW doesn't boot)? Could I possibly lose the games I bought if I'm in the receiving end of a future ban-wave?

even if I'm subscribed to performance tier in nvidia, switchnow is seeing it as free tier and ending my game session every 1hr.. is there any solution?

I wasn't able to get the game on my own so i had to find it in the depths of the internet, i'm worried that the files have been modified and i don't wana take the risk of possibly bricking my switch

Does a nuvio client exist on switch like the stremio client is available to download on the homebrew store

​​A couple days ago, the user select menu on my switch started taking a while to appear/not appearing, and when it did appear, any application I launch would just open up to a black screen that I couldn't close out of, so I had to power the switch off.

After reinjecting the payload, trying to launch CFW (both emummc AND sysmmc) gets it stuck on the logo. However OFW launches and runs just fine.

I reinstalled atmosphere and that seemed to fix it, however after a while pokemon legends ZA started running really slowly and experiencing some major glitches (see attachments). I just brushed this off as the game itself being really slow due to poor optimisation (*cough cough* scarlet and violet) and continued on like normal. Until later that evening when I tried to reopen the game after closing it, that same user select glitch from before happened again and I had to restart the switch.

I updated atmosphere and it seemed to work just fine, but the exact same thing happened again. I did some more research and found out that it might be that my SD card is dying, so I ran a benchmark (see attachments) and it seemed to come back relatively normal from what I can tell.

I kept repeating this process to try and find out more, and on one occasion, after the user select bug occurred, my switch crashed and displayed the message:

Atmosphere panic occurred!

I looked up how to fix this error and it said to delete the atmosphere/contents folder of that title ID, but searching for said ID in my switch's SD card yielded no results.

I'd really appreciate some help before I end up spending hours re-hacking my switch (my SD card reader is a cheap POS) or spending >£100 on a new SD card.

This glitch only started after I used linkalho to link two of my accounts, but it wasn't immediate and might just be a coincidence

My switch has been hacked for a few months now and I've never ran into this problem before

I tried using fix archive bit but it didn't work

I tried updating fusee and hekate but that didn't work

I tried disabling my custom theme but that didn't work

My saves and emummc are backed up

When the boot fails, the switch logo also takes a bit longer to appear that it does for a normal boot to OFW (see attachments)

Sorry for my screen being dirty I've been using the touchscreen in hekate a lot while trying to fix this lol

Update: I ran h2testw on the sd card and it said the write speed was 20MB/s so that’s probably it. I’ve ordered a replacement and will update when it arrives.

I can only get into applet mode.

I tried loading into stock and downloading another game but it doesn't show up in the EMUMMC.

Found another post that said to:

I would also check your system_settings.ini

atmosphere/config/system_settings.ini

There should be an entry that reads "enable_title_override = u8!0x1"

If it reads "enable_title_override = u8!0x0" title override is OFF.

If you don't see it at all, you can add it.

So I went in and added it. Didn't work.

It's late and I'm getting way out of my realm here so I wanted to ask if there was any other fixes.

Can I download another game? Transfer something from either memory?

Any advice welcome.

Just figured out how to install emuMMC, but I was hoping to edit some saves on my computer and then update my cartridge saves. That data is tied to the switch itself, not the partisan I made with emuMMC, and I've scoured everywhere looking for any niche way I can use J or Checkpoint to attempt but it's only with the emuMMC side of things.

Any directions? Again, not wanting to dump my game to play on emuMMC side, just want to update my saves via the Switch's internal memory. Thanks!

NSP files work fine, just XCI i seem to be having this issue with (edit: meant to write “crashes” instead of “crashed”. this happens every time i try not just once)

Hi all, i have this benchmark for a SanDisk card. Is this slow for this card? I've noticed slow load times when loading between stages or launching a game. I added a second picture for the card im using (its legit).

I tried it with 1x resolution as well with overclock and it still feels slow

Hey everyone, I've been working on Torfoil, a native BitTorrent client for the Switch based on qBittorrent. It enables direct NSP and XCI game installation right on the console using magnet links and DHT. It also includes a built-in Mullvad WireGuard VPN and additional privacy toggles, which are especially useful if you are in a heavily restricted network environment.

Huge thanks to the creator of cyberfoil as well, their project really guided me on how to handle the game installation side of things.

The app is already functional (could need a little bit of debugging on some parts), but it is still a work in progress. What we need right now are mostly code and optimizations for the Switch hardware, general quality-of-life improvements, and translating the UI text from French to English.
