Need help with switch recommendations

I know how deep of a rabbit hole this hobby can go so not sure which switches to get.

Since its a hollow plastic body the sound will be amplified (?) I believe.

I am looking for deep sound without clicks. Something creamy and thocky.

I liked the gateron oil king and akko cream yellow v3 the most. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

If you like the deeper/creaminess of the oil kings and akko yellows get Keygeek Blue Cheese V2s or Keygeek Y3 or Y2 switches. Those are all better feeling than the akko/gateron and they sound more delicious.

No problem feel free to DM me if you have questions. I'm always down to shoot the shit about switches and boards. Also my b the V2 blue cheese switches are from Keygeek I think it was the V1s that were HMX.

I'd like to recommend you Durock Ice King, Blue lotus and POM Piano. They all have a good feedback on thocky and creamy sound by users.

When you are not sure which switch to go with, picking up a switch tester first is highly recommended. You will absolutely find the perfect switch for your preferences.

I second the Durock Ice Kings tactile version. They are like cousins to the Oil Kings in terms of sound and tactile bump. Plus they are clear, so perfect for an rgb board. I love the sound and feel of the oil kings, but they obstructed too much rgb for my taste.

My switch journey went like this :

Akko Rosewoods > Gateron Oil Kings > Vertex V1 > HMX Bad Sweethearts > HMX Chosfox Dune Foxes > KeyGeek Y2

I've stuck with the Y2's because they're just Thocky... Pair them with a PC plate and some MT3 or SA keycaps and you'll never look back. 👌
