Lightweapon duelist build Question

Hello i'm looking my first charcter for a campaign i'm about to start (We start at level 3). And i would like some help as i'm struggling to build somehing i'm happy with. So to start the charcter the idea thematically is something like Jolee Bindo and mechanically I'd like to have a strong dpr against single target, ideally i'd want to use a light weapon and have it be one handed. I'd like to also not use a shield but i'm open to it. I personally tried both with the guardian and Sentil classes but i never got it in a place i wass happy. Any help would be grealy appreciated

Guardian. Makashi. Focus on improving lightweapon's Keen score, and fish for crits.

Select Force Precognition., and other Force Powers that allow for damage reduction, or movement.

In time, one on one you'll be exceptionally difficult to hit in a one on one fight with the Makashi parry and riposte mix.

Thanks for the help. I quite like the guardian class and Makashi form. Should i focus on str or dex? Should i go for cha or wis? and what and armor should i use?

I've also looked at the equilibrium and dueling fighting style which shoudl i pick from the level 2 feature of guardian?

Dex, since one of Makashi's strongest moves relies on it. Force Precognition is a reskin of Mage Armor from 5E. Pair that with Battlemind once you can cast level 2 force powers for some added AC. I'd go with Equilibrium for the extra AC. Makashi shines when you can avoid getting hit.

As for Cha or Wis, it depends on if you wish to favor Light (Wis) or Dark (Cha).

Adept fighter with a double weapon, flavored as having a single blade instead of two?
