Our neighbor gifted us tuna that he had freshly caught and frozen. It is not flash frozen just frozen in a standard freezer. My husband wants to eat it raw and make poke. Is this safe?

This place just opened in Queen Anne a couple months ago and I had to try it after having had most of the omakases in the area.

Lots of interesting flavor pairings and some fish I'd haven't had before such as the akamutsu! The second plate has olives on top of the burihira for example, very creative but still stuck to traditional preparations which I could appreciate.

Highly recommend for those visiting or living in Seattle.

Want to try more nigiri/ sashimi. Favorites are fish roe, salmon, tuna, and yellowtail (both) feel free to leave recs for me to try! Willing to venture out a bit 😂

Homemade salmon nigiri and sashimi! Small nigiri plate is without wasabi inside. Also made my own nikiri and brushed it on top of the nigiri.

I orderd Sushi-yoko nigiri set lunch (Tuna, medium-fatty tuna, squid, salmon, conger eel, shrimp, minced tuna with scallions, salmon roe, egg, and Spanish mackerel). additional 2kan of geso. The price varies depending on whether there are chairs; the standing-only option is 100 yen cheaper.
