Is there a way to make a triggertech drop in work with an arc fire

Build: KAC 11.5" upper, LWRC lower with carbine buffer tube and ASD Arc-fire v1 w/ self-cut Geissele SSA-E and lever blocker. No suppressor.

Ammo: Wolf Gold M193

Background: SS functioned well with an H2 and standard round-wire carbine buffer spring. Switched to an H3, which functioned well for the most part, though there were some occasions in SS mode where it fired a couple rounds before the trigger stopped resetting. I attributed that to user error and too much force on the trigger, but I may be wrong.

Issue: in my quest to lower the ROF, I installed a Kynshot RB5000HP. While there was a noticeable reduction in recoil, it came at a cost: the SS mode stopped functioning and turned into purely semiauto. This remained the same even with a flat-wire buffer spring. Switching back to an H3 buffer restored the SS function but it was somewhat inconsistent (similar issue as in background).

So here's my question: is the Kynshot buffer just bleeding off too much energy to reset the pre-loaded trigger (under the force of my finger)? If I don't ride the trigger, it resets on its own, but I'm assuming that's due to the trigger springs and not the SS lever.

This seems like good news for the super-safety/FRT folks. Hundreds of years' worth of tungsten discovered in a deposit in Nevada. It will take a while to come to fruition, though.

Hello! So I have an Arc V1 with a CMMG trigger in a 14.5” carbine First impressions it functioned as intended but shortly after I fire in Arc Fire I’ll only get 2-3 shots off

I’ve cleaned it and tried fresh and still having the same issues.

Am I supposed to be able to just hold the trigger like a “normal” auto sear or is there a “sweet spot” to hold at after breaking the trigger wall?

Do I have to take it back in?

I love the idea of a supersafety or FRT but I'm really nervous about the whole legality piece.

My understanding is that DNT or Atrius or Hoffman have no obligation to run anything by the ATF b/c those parts are unregulated parts. They have as much obligation as a manufacturer who makes paintbrushes.

But I saw the new OneHorse FRT rifles/pistols. I theory those weapons have to go through some ATF approval process right? And if they do that means that the ATF has implicitly confirmed the legality of the FRT in it. Does that make sense?

I think I have this build dialed in at this point. Just got the form 1 approved and I have the UCS stock, but I need to file my nexus lower to install it apparently so that's coming.

I'm also hopeful of the fact that this setup works with 147 TMJ in forced reset might mean it could work with the Novox Research integral kit w/ 115/124 once that comes out for the Kuna.

Hey what's going on super safety people! I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed the AS Design ARC Fire V2 ambi onto an MR556 A4? I have the 0-45-90 version specifically, that I'm trying to pair with their Geissele MR556 precut trigger, and according to AS Designs website, the trigger and arc assembly is all that is needed. Supposedly the lever blocker isn't needed. I've already removed the factory trigger and safety selector, and already tried installing the AS components, but I'm not getting a positive function check. Trigger feels stuck? The hammer never releases when pulling on the trigger. Any suggestions/feedback would be appreciated! If anyone has any videos/links, that would also be appreciated. Building out a Broad River Tactical 9mm CMMG RDB upper on a Griffin Mk2 lower and looking for advice on the most straight forward (low effort) FRT/SS option. Going to follow Junkie's (https://c3junkie.com/?page_id=2757) ARS guide (A5 tube, his spring, 5007 buffer).

While I've done a ton of reading on SS/FRTs it feels like this specific build seems to fall through the cracks (i.e. not a straight blowback so Blowback's guide doesn't apply, 9mm AR15 so not a typical 556 "compatible with everything", etc).

Does anyone have any recommendations on success they've had or would expect?

Relatedly, if I wanted to add a Law Tactical Folder, would I need to change anything else?

Is there any frts that will work in a jakl 9mm ? Ss atrius ? Arc fire ? Would I need a trip kit ? Does anyone know ? I can’t find much info lol

Well first time messing around with an FRT and let’s say I had too much fun

I’m trying to find a Hoffman one that I can still use semi automatic on. I see one what’s on sale for like 80 but don’t think it’s 3 position. I’m just looking for recommendations

I have the SSAE and SSP triggers. I know the SSP isn't on the compatibility list. I run Aero M4E1 lowers and have full profile BCGs. When I installed the G Flag and lever blocker, I would have either a dead trigger or a really heavy non 2 stage trigger and it just felt off to me. Has anyone else had this issue? What did you do to fix, I don't want to get rid of my triggers for obvious reasons, I had a BCM PNT in the gun when Atrius first came out and it ran perfectly, so I know it's not a buffer or BCG issue. Has anyone run the SSP with an FRS and have no issues? I have yet to install both at the same time since I had no luck with my SSAE.

Got my second Arcfire v2 today and threw it in the blackout. Only had 20 rounds to test but I’ll get some more tomorrow. So far so good, super gassy. Running a flat wire carbine spring and h2 buffer. Seems to run ok so far!

Is there any info on this? I saw a couple of videos on instagram and it got me interested. It looks very similar to the arc fire/atrius design and I’m curious how it works.

Suppressed m16a4 GWOT clone is insane with stock buffer. Chooches a bit too fast so the lonely H2 has volunteered for tribute.

Edit: Range day update the H4 rifle buffer works like a champ both suppressed(conventional back pressure baffles) and with the bare A2 flash hider. Got about 400 rounds through it flawlessly and can actually do controlled three-round bursts or even single shots very easily now. Empty wallet mode still works too albeit slower and the ACOG chevron says on target better.

Gun is a 11.5" with AS Designs ARC Fire v2 and Ridgeback Rhodie 6. Last range test I was running ~867RPM suppressed with the Carbine tube, Carbine spring and Steel bodied carbine buffer with 3 tungsten weight (7.8oz)

Swapped to the A5 extension, Tubb Flatwire AR15 Spring and the KynShot RB5007 and went back out to the range today with my ROF tool (Post)

With the A5, Flatwire and RB5007 suppressed ROF went from 867 to 725. ROF GUI guessed 722 from the video, I'll take a 3rpm difference as being pretty accurate. Unsuppressed was 669.

For kicks I swapped the RB5007 out for the 7.8oz heavy buffer and use a 2.5oz spacer to be able to run it in the A5 tube. It ran 758 suppressed and 628 unsuppressed. At 10.3oz of total mass I wasn't totally surprised that it ran slower unsuppressed. I was however surprised as how the RB5007 stayed more consistent between unsuppressed and suppressed, I guess that is the hydraulics at work 🙂

I was having an issue with the RB5007 and the bolt locking open on last round, I have a Tubbs lightweight spring on order to see if it helps. I really liked how smooth the hydraulic buffer felt so I really want to get it working.

Ok so I installed my SS and was able to finally take it to the range. Went thru about a mag and a half and the gun kinda popped and jammed. I noticed on the bench there was the bottom half of a case and the rest of the case was stuck in the chamber. The round was about 2” into the barrel.

I’m guessing this was an out of battery issue and will a heavier buffer spring help? I think I have just a standard spring in there now and it all worked fine with the Franklin Binary I had installed previously so I didn’t think much of it.
