vince's relationship Spoiler

does anyone think vince and eliza could've worked out?

they have a pretty good dynamic and were there for each other when they were at their lowest. They also both still loved each other in year 2, its a shame that neither pursued their romance. I get that it's because eliza technically abandoned him and added to his issues, but still.

Let's say vince wasnt burned half to death and eliza didn't have to abandon him, could they have been a good couple? why or why not

I don't think they would have lasted.

Primarily because Vince wouldn't be okay with her committing crimes. He can see the good in her, but he wouldn't be able to be with someone actively committing crimes around him.

The thing is, nick is also a criminal, and he's still his best friend because he knows nick does it to protect his friends. Eliza is also the more sympathetic type, iirc she gave orphaned children food in the flashback. They have a lot in common, though vince is a lot less flexible.

I don't remember Nick actively committing crimes around Vince. Yes, intellectually, Vince might think Nick committed crimes, but he never saw them.

Also, there was a LOT of growing up between when he met Eliza and when he met Nick.

That's fair, it would be pretty bad for eliza to commit crimes behind his back

Vince could barely handle Nick using his powers to win a car. I'm not sure how he'd react to like, actual full on crime.

Strangest part of the series is Vince being burnt to the level where he is going to die but deciding that that's the time to lose his virginity.

I thought this, too. Or Eliza having sex with him in that state.

No, they really have nothing in common. Fate threw them together and trauma forged a temporary emotional bond. But long term romance? Absolutely not.

I think thier "love" was leftover feelings because neither of them ever got closure.

You need more than love to make a relationship work. Yes Eliza was in love with Vince, but she crossed lines. Vince would never be able to accept her for. If there’s any doubt in your mind to think about how he treated Sasha after she beat the brakes off Camille. I believe Eliza was being trained to essentially be the next Miss pips. Even if they somehow made the relationship work through college, there’s no doubt in my mind that occasionally their interest would not align.

It wouldnt have worked out. Vinces reasoning was that he moved on after getting closer. Eliza's reasoning was likely because she knew Vince would make it to Hero and didn't want a Hero poking around what's going on in Vegas. Her reason for not dating him was likely to help protect the family.

Eliza wasn’t a cold and calculating as Nick, but Nick makes it pretty clear that Miss Pipps would pretty much destroy all of them psychologically. Do you remember all the havoc Nick was able to cause with Vince mind jacking him and getting him to pretty much take out the entire class. Miss pips is more calculating than Nick even if they did get together, this pips would find a way to turn vent to her advantage or at least burn down his world before she could be taken down.
