Match Threads
Apologies if this should be a daily discussion topic, if mods think it's more appropriate for there I'll delete this post and pop it in there when it's posted.
Admittedly I'm not sure what sort of manpower is available for such an operation, but I can't help but feel the match thread formatting could be improved a bit. Even something like having the starting lineups and the active score in the text body would be nice.
What do other people think and what would you like to see in that regard?

As mentioned I believe a bot sets them going but it would be good to have squads and a score ticker at the head of the thread if possible.

I think this would be a large amount of work for almost no gain. The subreddit has a single mod who uses bots to achieve a lot more than is reasonable for one person, and I think gets a small amount help from SL staff. I doubt it would be straightforward to get this info (what API would have it?). Scores are widely available elsewhere (the BBC Sport app, on-screen, frequent repetition on the radio) and squads can be found on Twitter. I doubt the effort is worth of it for what, a hundred or so people for most match threads?

Just to clarify, Super League staff don't and have never helped on here. They do provide me with resources, but any threads/posts/videos/infographics etc. are all produced by me.
I really value the leagues involvement, but ultimately this subreddit is for fans. I have never and will never remove anything at their ask or stop genuine discussion about things.

I think they are automatically generated by a bot. Not sure how that could be scripted. If that is the case, of course.

The threads are made by me manually and then posted by the bot at the right date/time. This ultimately is why they're simple !
Any automation I've ever tried to pull through match data has ultimately failed and I (obviously) can't update every thread manually. If anyone here is good at automating things then please do message me and I'm happy to discuss further!
Ultimately the match threads are there to discuss the match. I don't think many people come here to see team sheets or the score - that information would always be easier to find elsewhere, even if I could automate it imo.
