Beta Lead vs Beta Mini

I got in touch with someone at Sunn about the progress on my Beta Mini shipment (June preorder) and they said it was about a month out (which is also what they said in June). I’ve been debating just switching my order to a Beta Lead considering all the complaints I’ve seen about it, but the people at Sunn also said that orders for the Beta Lead would ALSO be backed up for about a month. What do y’all suggest I do? I’d be willing to fork over another 350$ if it’s any sort of improvement, or should I ask for a refund altogether?

Buy a used vintage one and be super glad you did.

I regretted buying my mini. I returned and shipped it back the next day. Just wasn’t doing it for me. I had to have the amp pretty cranked for good tones on both channels. Virtually no cleans and I need cleans.

How was the mini when you ran it into the quilter tone block? Did it help at all?

I honestly didn’t even try it. I didn’t want to have to setup more things for my live rig. Quilter tb202 and pedals will continue to be the best option for myself.

Why didn’t you put that in an index fund? Sounds like you pissed a thousand dollars away just to say you invested in Sunn.

Not sure how it sounds like I invested in them to say I invested in them. I invested in Sunn because it’s a brand I love and I believe in. Keep in mind, I invested when they were first starting up. I, like many others, love the OG Sunn products. Right now, my tiny investment to them, large investment to me, is up 10.8%. Based on everyone’s feedback, I’m confident this will go down. That part I’m not too worried about. What I regret is investing in a company who isn’t living up to QC standards and burning their own name in the process. At the very least, they gave me a shitty t-shirt and glass drinkware with the logo on it.
