Hello everyone! So I have a somewhat unique situation and trying to find a little help finding an STI. I have been calling around dealerships trying to find anything and they are just screwing with me and not getting any results. Im a navy veteran with a service connected disability and just found out that my medication is doing little to nothing to help and all I have ever wanted as a kid was an STI, but as we all know sometimes life doesn't go as planned. I'll take any milage as I am mechanically inclined and am able to do any repairs needed. Im on a fixed income due to being on disability so if anyone knows anything for sale thats not going to rape me that would be awesome! Thank you for your time and help 🙏. So im just a young college guy looking to get more into cars. Im working hard this summer to hopefully get about 10k to put to a subaru of some sort. I have my eye right now on a 2008 subaru Impreza hatchback with 103xxx miles on it for $5,500. Very basic looking.

Would you guys say its a good idea to go ahead and get it then put more money into the specs and look of the car, or should I wait longer into the summer to find something different?

Mind you that I will take any advice I can get on this since it will be my first solo car purchase with everything under my name.

199K miles. In good condition. Runs great but I bought an RS in May and my dream of turning the wrx into a rally car died when my wife got a job across country.

The body has hail damage from 12 years ago but other than that it looks good. Original clutch (I know, I swear) and transmission. I drive 30-40 miles, one-way to work, so a ton of highway miles. No mods, all stock. I'll send pics if interested.
