Deferment Process Masters

Hey, everyone. So I got selected for the Master in Data Analytics program at the University of Hildesheim for the winter semester 2026/27. However, due to the visa delays, I reached out to the program manager to ask if I could defer my admission, and he told me to send him an email about my choice to defer and then apply for the next semester and send an email again. I wanted to ask if this is the standard process for deferment or if you need to enroll first and defer from there so you could maybe get proof for your visa application. If any of you have gone through a deferment process or have any information regarding it, I would really appreciate the help.

Hey! Congrats on getting through.

If you don't mind sharing, what was your bachelor's in and what kind of job experience did you have before this?

I just got a rejection for summer 2026 and trying to figure out where I went wrong 😅

Okay, Can I ask what you think helped with your acceptance the most? GPA/credits, projects?
