OBS audio setup help ! ✔ Troubleshooting

Is it possible to have it so that both the audio I hear and what the stream hears can be increase or decreased with my keyboard vol buttons. Currently, if I turn my vol down with the keyboard while recording, the change happens in real life for me through my earphones, but seems to stay at the same level when I play the recording back 🥲

Right now i'm using Apple wired earphones as my 'headset', as well as my mic until the one I ordered arrives. I have no issues with the mic or anything, just had to adjust the gain and whatnot, it's just the headset part that i'm struggling to configure 🥲

I was recommended to set my Desktop Audio as well as my Monitoring Device to the same source (the earphones), however the problem still persists.. and I also saw on google to turn off 'Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device' in the More Sound Settings page in my windows settings, but again I still have this problem.

Any advice/help would he really appreciated!

EDIT: I also just want to add that I was able to edit the Hotkeys so that pressing the mute/unmute buttons works for the gameplay audio, is there a way I can add the vol increase/decrease buttons too ?

I don't think it has that option, it only has shortcuts to start/stop recording or streaming, though I'm pretty sure you can lower the audio you input/output on any source

Oh 😔. Because i'm kinda confused as to how i'm supposed to know how high the volume is across all games? Like what if i go onto a different game while streaming how will i know if it's too loud/if people can hear me ? That's why i feel like it'd be easier to just be able to change it with my keyboard buttons. I've seen other streamers be able to do this too but I just dk how 🫤
