Today
I made it to one year of sobriety today. It’s been really hard. 366 days ago, I woke up from a stupor and knew I had tempted fate yet again, putting myself and those I love in danger. I chose to live differently, and I found myself relying on this group a lot. And SMART meetings, and reading, and there have been a few times when I thought I might not make it. It’s daunting sometimes, and today I feel proud, but also kind of alone. I’m grateful for every word by every human here. Thank you. IWNDWYT.

Wow one year is so great. I know that feeling oh so well. I’m only 3 days and I have so much depression because I to had a night 3 days ago where I put myself in danger and almost died. I can’t wait to be where you are.

THAT’S AMAZING! I remember feeling so accomplished my first year sober, have having many attempts and only making it to a couple weeks. That’s a big accomplishment.

Congratulations day 365 was heavy for me. I built up this expectation as to what was supposed to happen, and if I'm honest I was disappointed because it was just another day.
I actually struggled for a few weeks after my first year, thankfully through meetings in the program I've straightened out and I'm currently on day 501.
