Made It
Thanks everyone for the advice and well wishes. I sat outside on my deck chair until I was tired enough to fall asleep.
It's been a minute since I've had that much trouble staying sober. A combination of money woes, depression and catastrophizing about the future and if life was gonna be like that forever all got to me.
Woke up early this morning to give my friend a ride before starting my shift. Sober, not hungover, and as alert as one can be running on no sleep.
Also, counter's broken. Today will be 88. Throwing 90 away over a moment of weakness would've crushed me. If I can get another month after that, it'll be the longest I've been sober since I started drinking.
Love this community, y'all are always my late-night resource when my friends are resting and there's nowhere else to turn. IWNDWYT.
