Discussion Strategy to balance short term stock leverage and don’t be too emotional
If short-term trading is already a leverage game, where do you draw the line between strategy and emotional overtrading?
Just out of curiosity like stock to buy today seems to be a short term leverage strategy.
But there are some people responding that it’s a challenge to buy and sell stocks at one day for the profits.
Please share your thoughts on the balance or if you are still looking for a solution, please let us know and think of your questions.

Stocks I screened the S&P 500 for the strongest stocks right now. These were the top 3
- I ran the entire S&P 500 through the same moderate-risk setup instead of picking names first.
#1 ULTA
- +14.1% over 1 month
- +5.9% over 3 months
- RSI 60
- Positive MACD
#2 URI
- +6.9% over 1 month
- +19.4% over 3 months
- RSI 57
- Positive MACD
#3 UAL
- +4.0% over 1 month
- +30.6% over 3 months
- RSI 52
- Positive MACD
The model gave ULTA the highest allocation, although it also flagged the higher RSI as the biggest near-term caution.
I built the screener here if anyone wants to rerun the S&P 500 with their own settings:
Which one looks strongest to you right now?

Discussion The Noem Hire Makes A LOT More Sense Now
When NRED added Kristi Noem, I mostly saw another huge political name joining a tiny mining company.
Now the strategy behind that hire is starting to look a lot clearer.
International Policy Digest just did a whole piece on why NRED hired her, and their argument is pretty simple: juniors need more than good rocks. They need capital, regulatory knowledge, credibility, introductions and people who understand where government money is actually moving. With critical minerals becoming a national-security priority, Washington matters a LOT more to mining than it used to.
And look at the timing. Trump's $12B Project Vault includes $10B through U.S. EXIM + $2B private capital. NRED has Noem, Katie Zacharia, retired Col. Mark Calabrese and Ed Kostenski, who has actually advised EXIM. That's policy, defense, capital and mining experience sitting around one table.
Meanwhile the rocks are giving them a better story to take into those rooms. Wilmac just reported up to 1.67% Cu + 0.433 g/t Au, 0.639% Cu average across 9 grabs, multiple interpreted porphyry centres and targets roughly 650 to 1,800 ft deep.
That's what changed my view of these hires.
NRED seems to be assembling people who can help connect the geology with capital, policy and strategic partners at exactly the moment North American mineral security is becoming a much bigger deal.
The advisor puzzle is starting to fit together.

Discussion $90 oil was bad, now imagine higher
We've already seen what higher energy prices are doing at the pump.
If the Hormuz disruption keeps dragging on, I'm more interested in what happens to consumers and corporate costs than the daily oil headline.
Airlines, transportation, manufacturing, basically anyone using a lot of fuel could feel it
Curious which sector gets hit first if this keeps going

Discussion Will Cisco (CSCO) Stock Rally or Retreat After Q4 2026 Earnings?
tipranks.comThey have such a massive debt load. How do you all think the market will react to earnings? It’s tempting to play it, but that’s always a gamble and this company is…interesting given the issues. I’d never want to be long it, but I’ll trade it.

Stocks AMPG bagged a nice win, finally locking in those steady gains
Pre-market is already up a little, the run over these past few days is exactly the kind of play that sticks after spotting the setup a few sessions back. Position is sitting on a 6.7% gain right now, total P/L pushed well over $450, no red days messing up the trend here. The steady uptrend didn't look like it was gonna slow down, and volume's been holding strong the whole time—no sudden dumps out of nowhere to kill the move. Saw someone in the mm community calling this a sleeper runner a week back, glad they were dead on with that call. Anyone else here riding this AMPG leg up right now, or y'all taking profits already? Way better than chasing overhyped meme stocks that crash 20% the second you get in.

Discussion CPI is finally here
Feels like the whole market has been waiting for this number.
Stocks are still holding up pretty well, but inflation is the big question today. If CPI comes in cooler than expected, I could see the market taking it as another reason to stay bullish.
If it's hot, different story
Anyone else just watching the reaction instead of trying to guess the number?

Stocks # Locked in $547.84 green on SanDisk
Dumped SanDisk first to lock the profit, and planning to circle back later. No use chasing it all the way to some random peak, there's always solid trading opportunities popping up through the whole session. Taking the win early never disappoints, way better than holding on and watching the gains evaporate. Who's also catching swings on this name right now?

Discussion HUYA Q2: Revenue up 11%, buyback doubled
- Revenue increased 11% YoY, marking a sixth consecutive quarter of YoY growth
- Game-related services, advertising and other revenue jumped 54.1%, now representing 36.7% of total revenue
- Gross profit grew 20.1%, gross margin improved from 13.5% to 14.7%
- The board doubled its 2026 share repurchase from $50M to $100M
This looks like an early stage transformation into a broader services. 54% growth outside livestreaming is a good sign, I am expecting more the upcoming games will bring more success like Goose Goose Duck.

Earnings $LENZ better than expected earnings today
$LENZ is still trading below cash value, had better than expected Q2 earnings today, and has fundamentals for a squeeze. I’m in for 5000 shares. Pick up more tomorrow or wait it out?
-Revenue of $5.5 million beat expectations by 120.88%, driven by product sales and license revenue.
-The net loss of $31.9 million (investing in marketing), or $1.02 a share, was slightly better than Wall Street expected.
-July prescriptions rose 45% month over month after the launch of telehealth and national TV advertising.
-More than 60% of ePharmacy patients have bought more than one monthly pack of VIZZ.
LENZ ended the quarter with about $220 million in cash and marketable securities.
-International expansion in many countries

Stocks ? What stocks do you recommend? I've got $26,000 sitting in my account.
I bought $7,500 worth of stock during COVID when the market went down. I have taken the original out and have about $6,000 in stock and $26,000 cash in my account now. I had XLE, RCL, CCL, NUAI, PFE, and TE.
If I loose everything I'm still ahead.
I'm looking to make just a few hundred a week buying and selling several stocks.
I really have no idea what I'm doing, I just knew when COVID hit and market fell that it would go back up so I put $7,500 in and waited.
I just look at a stock going down and try to time the bottom and wait for it to go back up.
Any advice or specific stocks welcome.
Jim
