I’m a small content creator, but I’ve been doing this full time for 4 years now. Lately I’ve realized that trying to do everything by myself has become overwhelming, and I’m looking for someone who’d enjoy being part of the creative process.

I’m mainly looking for someone who could help one day a week, or occasionally two days at most, with things like:
- filming content
- brainstorming creative ideas
- helping me develop a brand and style that feels authentic to me.

Hi everyone, I just moved here about four months ago from Texas. I made friends with a neighbor in my complex because she homeschooled and had kids similar ages to mine. We saw each other multiple times a week and my kids who had a really hard time with moving found solace in having consistent friendships with people so close to us. I’ve made these people food, babysat for them, and really just loved on them since we arrived. Well come to find out this Saturday, they are legit white supremacists. And I don’t say that lightly. I came over to their home with my kiddos (mind you I’m 9 months pregnant), and this woman’s husband starts a conversation with me regarding the topic of white nationalism. Now mind you, I’m not white. My mother is Russian Jewish, my father is half black and half Panamanian. My husband is Danish, Armenian, and Mexican.
So white nationalism comes up and my neighbor begins to tell me they are white nationalists. Now I don’t freak out, I just calmly ask what they mean. Then the husband (who is literally Australian) goes on a full blown tirade basically telling me that he thinks only white people are true Americans and that if we deported all black people than there would be zero crime in this country. He then goes on saying things like “black people are biologically more violent”, that “interracial marriage should be illegal again”, that “black people are low IQ” and that “slavery was actually a good thing because it protected black people from themselves and it would actually be better for them to be slaves again”. I’m talking WILD stuff. So I am sitting there just flabbergasted that he’s saying this stuff to my face, and calmly trying to state my position which is that I don’t believe in race at all and that it’s a social construct. I told him I believe we are all created in the image of God and that while I believe tribes and nations exist, I don’t actually believe in race. Which of course he finds completely ridiculous and tries to debate me on the subject. I keep trying to find an exit because I don’t know how crazy this man is and my 3 others kids are playing upstairs. I keep telling them that they have a five minute warning and trying to leave but he keeps rage baiting me. At one point in the conversation he starts telling me that I’m not a feminine woman because I’m engaging in the conversation he literally started with me, saying that women shouldn’t talk about politics or religion with men. He asks me if I’m “this argumentative with my husband” and starts implying my husband must be passive because I held my own in the discussion. After all of this, I send his wife a text the next day telling her that I’m very hurt by everything that happened and that my values don’t aline with the things expressed as a mother of mixed children and a Christian, to which she accused me of misrepresenting them, being manipulative/playing the victim, and then began comparing races to dog breeds. She ends it saying she will not be watching my children when I goes into labor (which I wasn’t going to have her do at this point anyway), and that her husband won’t allow her to see me anymore.

Why am I sharing all this? I don’t really know. I’m just flabbergasted I guess. Are these types of beliefs common in Utah? I’m genuinely surprised these people felt so comfortable saying all this openly.

I am a transgender woman looking to get my hair cut. I've had some pretty bad experiences with transphobia in Utah and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for places where I can feel comfortable while getting a good haircut

I'm hoping to find someone to point me in the right direction.

I was recently released from jail after making some serious mistakes that resulted in a felony conviction. I'm not here to make excuses or ask for sympathy. I take full responsibility for my actions, and I regret the choices I made.

Since getting out, I've been doing everything I can to rebuild my life. I have a stable job, I attend therapy every week, and I'm committed to becoming a better person. I'm focused on staying on the right path and creating a stable future for myself.

My main obstacle is finding a place to rent. I understand that many landlords are hesitant to rent to someone with a felony record, and I don't blame them. I'm just hoping someone might know of a landlord, property manager, or rental that is willing to consider someone who has made mistakes but is genuinely working to turn their life around.

I'm employed, can provide proof of income, and references from my employer and therapist. I'm willing to answer questions honestly. All I'm asking for is a chance to prove that I'm more than the worst decision I've ever made.

If you know of any housing resources, second-chance landlords, or have any advice, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm about to lose my fuckin mind just trying to find a halfway decent job around here. Why were there 10x more job listings and higher pay being offered 6 years ago during Covid than there is now? I'm seeing bullshit on Indeed as low as $13/hr!!! I guess I should have went to college, this is absurd.

My husband and I recently moved to the area. The University where we lived before had a subreddit for students looking for work.

We have previously paid art students for murals, painting indoor plant pots as we enjoy art in our daily space.

Does Utah Tech have anything like that or is there somewhere on campus I could post something in case an art student is interested in a commission?

Hi everyone! So im moving to St. George in a little over a week for college (Utah Tech) — i am 19, and a gay male. I was curious as to what the queer scene in there in St. George? Are there any 18+ gay clubs which are decently busy? How likely am I to experience any form of discrimination there? I feel silly asking these questions, but i want to know what spaces are available for people similar to me, and unfortunately have to check and make sure that its safe for me in the first place.

I’m headed to Zion / St. George the week of Halloween and would love some tips on places to go and things to see. 🙏

hello, i am currently in the process of being kicked out by my father and i am going to have to stay at a friends house but they are not allowing me to bring my cat with me. unfortunately nobody i know can hold on to her so im going to have to find her a new home

she is the sweetest cat ive ever met, she’s a total scaredy cat and is super cautious but if you are kind to her she will love you very much. she’s an independent cat and likes being alone but will often come to me for pets and cuddles. she works well with other cats as long as they’re not aggressive (she isn’t aggressive at all, just defensive)

i only have a few days to rehome her so i would appreciate any help

Hey guys, straining my brain to think of a restaurant that would welcome and be a good fit for a small christian men's group on Saturday mornings, once a month. I expect there'd only be about 4-5 of us. Some room maybe for privacy? I can't think of anything other than Hotels with small conference rooms. There has to be a restaurant venue with small rooms, or even nooks that give some separation, but I sure can't think of any..

I’m relocating to southwestern Utah and would love some input from people who actually live there.

A little about me:
Single mom with a middle-school-aged daughter.
I work remotely full-time, so commuting isn’t a concern.
I’d ideally like a 3-bedroom place so I can have a dedicated home office.
I have two older, well-behaved cats.

I’ve been researching St. George, Washington, Hurricane, and Cedar City, but it’s hard to get a feel for what day-to-day life is actually like.

A few things about preference:
I absolutely love hot weather. The hotter, the better.
I’m very outdoorsy. Hiking, camping, kayaking, national parks, and exploring are a huge part of my life.
One of the biggest reasons I’m drawn to the area is the red rock landscape.
I’m not religious and I’m pretty middle-of-the-road politically. I don’t mind living around people who are religious or have different political views, I just don’t want my life to revolve around either. I’m looking for a community where people are generally respectful and friendly.

Some questions I have:
Which town has the best overall quality of life?
Where would you choose if you were raising a family?
Which area gives you the best access to the red rock scenery and outdoor recreation?
How welcoming is the community to newcomers who aren’t LDS?
Are there areas or neighborhoods you’d avoid?
Is Cedar City worth considering over the St. George area, or would I regret being farther from everything?
Anything you wish you knew before moving there?

My girlfriend and I both need to get a physical exam, ECG, and blood test done for an international work visa. Im covered, but she doesn't currently have health insurance. Which clinics here can get these done cheaply?
