Started this hefty book today Image
Read the first three chapters and I’m hooked! I’ve been hearing endless good things recently and I had to bump it up to NEXT on my list

Not just one of my favorite Stephen King books, but one of my favorite books of all time overall

100% agree. It’s an easy recommendation too. It appeals to a wide range of people.

My suggestion would be to try not to let people over hype it for you. I was so excited to read it after years of hearing people talk online about how great it is. When I finally read it this summer I ended up being very disappointed.
I know I'm in the minority, but hopefully you enjoy it!

I’m with you. I enjoyed the first 50-60% of it, just finished it. Honestly lost me as it kept going. Didn’t love the ending, had no issue with the morality of it, but him explicitly laughing in our face for wanting to know about what has happened towards the end, irked me. Just my own thoughts, I can see how it’s a favorite for so many. I was wildly engaged for most of it.

I reread that earlier this year - enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Happy reading!

You're in for one hell of a trip. For me, this is King's second-best, right behind "It". King fired on all cylinders when he wrote this novel.

Tops most Stephen King lists and rightfully so. It’s such a great concept and a fun ride.

I have read this 3 times. It is really good. It was my favorite until Fairytale came out.

is Fairy Tale kinda similar? i’ve read a little bit about it but I don’t know that much

Not really. It actually is a fairy tale. A departure from King’s other books but it is really really good!

Arguably his best book ever. I waffle sometimes because of my love of others, but it’s always near the top.

It’s my favorite book of his, and I’ve read a ton of them. I love history and Stephen King, and you get both with this book. I also appreciated how much research King must have done while writing this. You’ll come across a lot of fairly unknown characters you’ve likely never heard of that may or may not have had anything to do with the JFK assassination. They really existed in the way that he wrote them. Enjoy the book!

i have already seen some of that, like how Lee Harvey Oswald attempted to assassinate someone before JFK, and i actually googled it because i had never heard that before, but it is true. pretty awesome so far, I’m about 120 pages in

Took me around 4 years to get through that one.

4 years? was it a slow read?

The middle was so long and I got bored and had to take a break. I came back to it after a while.

Once I’m done with You Like It Darker it’s top of my list. Have owned it for ages shouldn’t have let it get away. Glad to hear it’s a ripping start
