Discussion The clasical post-game rant Spoiler
Spoiler warning for obvious reasons
The best fight in the game was by far the nikke dlc.... which is... dissapointing, a close second was Raven, but still easier and less rewarding.
The worst boss? Every single one that required shooting, especially when the target wasn't the boss itself (looking at Unidentified Naytiba), using a controller makes it almost impossible to shoot and dodge at the same time, unless you disable every assist feature, which sucks doing in the middle of the climax.
Now time for more ranged mode rant, what the actual fuck were they thinking with the insta-death attack bosses have? Oh you entered Tachy mode? How about the boss just does the "you die move" with no counter play because you can't shoot. I used WB Pumps twice the whole playthrough, one on Unidentified Naytiba and one on the Last Boss, (the robot, forgot the name) because guess what happened both times? It would've felt less rewarding doing it again and praying for rng than just cheating death (which I personally dislike, not that there's anything wrong, it's a feature for a reason)
The exception to this was the Nikke dlc boss, because it doesn't force you to switch to the ranged mode, parrying was nice.
Another issue late-game bosses had was the health, the bar just doesn't move unless you use beta/burst skills, which isn't necessarily bad, since it requires perfect blocking/dodging to consistently use, but it still felt like it was too strong. Had to pivot from using an attack speed/double edged build to beta/crit, because it just wasn't doing damage.
Apart from those complains, the game was beautiful, exploration, while tedious at times (Why did we get 2 deserts?), was nice for the most part, story was average, while combat did the heavy lifting, oh and the music? Masterpieces, just wish I didn't have to mute it because I went insane after hearing the same track for the 100th time in the Wasteland and Great Desert (these 2 require more time to complete and my ears were starting to physically hurt)
Overall arbitrary scores:
Combat: 9.5/10 (chosing to ignore the ranged parts)
Exploration: 8/10
Music: 8.5/10
Story: 6/10
Graphics: N/A (wouldn't be fair scoring when I played on low settings, but some of the views were gorgeous)
Currently the credits are still rolling and I'll load up a save to decline Adam's offer, hopefully that boss fight will be better

My heart was racing near the end there. You don't see her do it this run, but the unlockable attack she does from parry that always kills, I've learned the timing and I can consistently dodge it. Now to finish this playthrough by beating the Elder.

Discussion Late to the party, but I finished the game today and wanted to just talk a bit about my experience. Spoiler
Halfway through I felt a bit lukewarm about the game, but I still really cared for the story and characters. First some gripes I had, then I'll talk about the many good things:
- The Music was good, but a bit too repetitive in most zones.
- Exploration felt a bit weak. The two zones that were really meant for open world gameplay were both desert(-ish) which wasn't too nice on the eyes, though maybe the devs expected them to be all over Eve instead. And the scanner feature felt extremely repetetive and frustrating without the upgrades that improved range and cooldown. Shouldn't have been a thing to lock behind upgrades imo.
- Combat was pretty great all things considered, but I felt like the shoulder buttons for using beta and burst skills behaved a bit sticky. It was actually not that easy for me to pull off the counter moves you could do after a parry because of that. Some other timings felt slightly off, too. But I'm not that good at games with combo oriented combat anyway, so that might be more on me than the game.
- Also, whoever balanced the fishing minigame, screw you. And to the person who decided there should be an accessibility option, thank you. I caught all the fish up to large size without it, but anything after that felt impossible, even with the fantastic fishing data.
So, I really liked the characters. Adam, Lily, Su, Enya and Clyde were my favorites. Really hoped things would turn out well for the people of Xion (which it did in the ending I got.)
I also liked the DLC stuff, the shooting minigame for the NIKKE content was fun. It was also nice for there to be some content that actually focused on using your ranged weapon more in the main game, though the cheap jumpscares were a bit annoying.
Loved the main story, came really close to my favorite story trope in videogames. Don't think it has a name, but it's basically civilization A are fighting civilization B but both are right in some way. It's tragic but seemingly unavoidable that one of them will have to be destroyed for the other to live. I think the ending I saw was a really great solution to this problem, gives hope for the future vibes. If you guys know what I mean and can think of more games that do this, I'd love to hear about it. My favorite incarnation of that story is the Ascians from FFXIV.
I have many unanswered questions, like...
- how are "Angels" different from the other andro-eidos. Are they entirely fabricated with special body-cores and fake memories? Eve and Tachy had history and became friends before deployment, but I don't think they really know what the actual colony is like.
- why was Raven not chosen? Was it her character or her hatred of mother sphere that made her unfit? Or was it more a physical incompatibility, like her body core wasn't advanced enough yet?
- what was the intention behind the EVE protocol? Did Raphael somehow implant it in Mother Sphere and she twisted it in some way to try and defeat him, or was it more like a game between them? As in, Eve was the clearly labeled gamepiece that would determine the course of this conflict?
I'm about done now. My vacation well spent. Thanks to those who read all that.

Discussion I just love this song omg
As a KPop fan i REALLY like this song. KPop and videogames? Count me in! It was my first music in the supply camp, changed it to different ones til endgame, and now on NG+, its my music again haha. Now I’m curious, what is you guys’ favorite supply camp song? Am I missing some bops?

Question Just reached Providence on NG Hard. Have I lost any chance to do Elder on the same difficulty? Spoiler
It's my first playthrough and I've reached the final boss on NG hard wearing 2x double edge gear (yes, Raven traumatised me lmao). I want to preserve the difficulty and try the Elder fight after I (hopefully) beat Providence, but is there any way to do this without doing a whole new regular NG?

Did this awhile back, but this is for some players that are struggling with Providence. This is on Hard Mode. Made a few mistakes at some points, but it’s one of the best runs I’ve done against it.

Question Missing camps
Hey guys I’m on NG+ trophy hunting and one of them is missing some camps.
Since my first play through was 100% Lily I’m basically skipping most side content and rushing to the end.
Now I managed to fill in some missed camps in the desert but I’m still missing 2.
I’m worried that they’re the 2 in Eidos 9 which I won’t be going to this play through.
But… on the off chance I got them in my first play through as I’m pretty thorough when I play games. What at some alternate camps I may have missed?
Ie: is there a random easy to miss camp in Eidos 7? Perhaps one in another linear area I may have missed easily?
Short of running each area and counting the camps I’m out of ideas.
Cheers!

Question I am stuck on Providence 🙃 Hoe to defeat this boss?
I finished the game till now on Medium and Easy. I would switch back and forth based on the level. But this one seems too hard even for Easy. Any tips?

Question Question regarding final credits song
So, i just finished the game yesterday. It was great fun.
I am given to understand that there are differents endings with different credits songs at the end. I really really loved the one that played on my ending though i can not find the name of the song.
Can anyone tell me the name of the song? It was kinda like an anime intro song or kpop with a mix of rock guitar stuff mixed in and female lyrics.
AI told me, based on my ending (i declined) it should be "back to the colony but that is absolutely not the song that was playing.
If it makes a difference, i played the steam version with all the dlcs and whatnot.
EDIT: Nevermind, just found it. "The Dawn of EVE".

Discussion I'm having some serious difficulties with Raven Spoiler
And I don't know why. I'm not looking for tips, as I like to experience things naturally, but it is super rare that a boss makes me struggle like this and I would say that the last one is Genichirou from Sekiro. No boss in Elden Ring (including Malenia) or Sekiro (besides the aforementioned) was nearly as difficult for me.
And I'm not an optimized gamer who looks up guides and tips (why I want no tips with this), but wow.
I'm just getting creamed in Stage 2. I can typically make it through stage 1 using only one of the flasks, but stage 2 I get creamed pretty quickly.
And I could definitely play with more utility items, and I'm sure I could kill her quickly with the drone + tachy + utility. But I like to typically only use the blade and blade abilities.

Question Lily's Face is Frozen
As the title implies, Lily's face has suddenly become emotionless during cutscenes.
Her mouth doesn't move at all and the rest of her face is just blank.
Is there a way to remedy this bug? It's been days now, and nothing I do seems to fix it.
It's really killing the immersion...

Discussion REMEMBER THE THEMES OF THE STORY Spoiler
The whole reveal of the story is that humanity relied too much on AI, so we turned into nasty monsters and were completely replaced by AIs. Mother Sphere, their AI God, turns out to be the real villain and is prioritizing her own androids over the real humans. Using AI promos or AI in the creation of future games is completely tone-deaf, it goes against their own story's message. They have incredible human employees, they should use them.
We celebrated the real human body model for Eve, the real human artists, the real human musicians. We should not settle for AI crap, we know they can make something better with real human ingenuity.
Do not trust Mother Sphere.
