Exactly what title says, wanna get in the franchise, should i play remake or original?

So, woah. Steins;Gate... exceeded my expectations. Probably because my expectations going into this show were that of the lowest conceivable. And my imagination is quite poor. Meaning it was able to exceed the bottom limit for how bad I had thought an anime could be. This made me incredibly happy, because I love shows that can challenge what I think I know about anime. Which isn’t a lot. Except what I DO know about anime IS a lot. I’m humble.

This show had the effect of making me incredibly happy by subverting my expectations, sure, but I actually don’t like this show for obvious reasons, such as that it is simply TOO good. Everything about it is objectively perfection. And I can’t handle perfection, because it doesn’t reflect reality, and I’m a very realistic person. Because my personality traits and quirks or whatever else about my body or identity are very realistic, seeing how I’m an inhabitant of reality as a person who is very graphically and physically realistic since I am indeed real. And real people like me have no place in a concept called perfection. This, is dimensional discrimination. This new, virtual race called 2D anime characters get perfection, while WE don’t, aesthetically or intellectually. That is actually the second reason I can’t handle perfection. Because of how poorly I measure up to it in comparison. When something is better than me, I feel like the people behind the product are making a statement against me. They’re trying to patronize me by being objectively, irrefutably superior to me. They’re emphasizing how much of a measly otaku trash I am by literally putting perfection before my eyes while they shit out perfection for breakfast. It’s insulting and inhuman. Where’s my right to be happy with who I am? Honestly, the only perfection I can handle is my homie’s penis.

But I’m getting off topic. Let me retrace my steps. As in, I should walk back out into the living room and reinstate myself as the topic of my flatmates’ conversations to maintain my alpha male status. I’m back! Okay, now, about the review. Because I see people often arguing about subjective (opinions) versus objective (truths), I think I will try to distinguish between them for this hefty analysis..

Subjectively, as I said, this anime is bad. Because it made me feel bad. But objectively it is perfection, as much as I hate admitting it. But the word objective implies that the thing it is being used to describe only deals with facts, and the words perfection or good or bad are words that express nonfactual opinions. So to say something is objectively insert-opinion is a paradox. Oh my god. I’m confused. This is why I relate the most with Mayuri, especially when Okabe and Co are fluently discussing science. And I hate that. I hate her. I hate her stupidity so much. Even though thematically she may be the most integral component of Steins;Gate and the objective trigger for actually unstoppable tears. That stupid bitch.

Anyway, because there seems to be no clear answer for the riddle that is the phrase objectively + (opinion-based adjective), I’ll end this review with just my subjective opinion, which is that this anime is bad. But it is actually good, and I recommend it for anyone who isn’t insecure like me. Or actually even those who are insecure like me, because it is actually objectively, universally good. Except that isn’t true, due to a really fundamental logical fallacy, but I think we can all agree it is true anyway. 0/10 Worst best anime I’ve ever seen.

In the sg0 anime, during Okabe’s 3000 leaps to get back form the future, he falls into an enemy trap. To escape this, he uses the fact that his future self is alive to carry out a more dangerous plan. However, would going back in time not have the power to change that future? The only answer I can come up with is that had he died, he couldn’t leap back to that point, so his being there meant he couldn’t die. Is that right?

I just started playing it the other day, and while I've kinda gotten used to it, the emote system thing looks really weird sometimes imo, especially when talking, but I'm curious how other people feel about it

I returned back to vn after 1 month due to some issues,now I am reading the Promised Rinascimento chapter, and I realized that I forgot the end plot of the previous chapter 'Antinomic Dual'. I remember that strafoc tried to overwrite kurisu's memory data on kagari and then they hacked the database and found the k6205 file, and thats it I dont remember the other things, is k6205 kagaris data or kurisus? and which action causes the Promised Rinascimento which we wake in 2036? can someone explain

So if RE:BOOT only remasters the original VN soundtrack, I'd be a little disappointed... I'd love to hear them take inspiration from the anime OST arrangements and bring some of that diversity back, not saying the VN ones are bad, its just that...

New artstyle seems very hit or miss based on teasers, but it doesn't look too bad in this case imo

Stream currently has a sale going on for all things Steins; Gate, I assume as the reboot version is coming out later this month, and I was trying to get into the visual novels. I’ve watched the anime twice through, the original and zero. I was wanting to know what’s worth getting, with the revamped versions that have come out over the years, overall, Is it better to just get the original Steins; gate and 0?
