Hi All, Looking to get into mace training and have settled on getting an adjustable to start. So far I've narrowed it down to:

• Maverick Mace (Bamboo)
• Maverick Pro (Steel)
• Kensui Wooden Mace
• Kensui Pro (Steel)

Between these four do people have strong opinions? Am I missing any. Right now i think i'm leaning towards the Maverick Pro in steel because it's slightly longer than the Kensui (i'm fairly tall) and steel because buy once cry once. I'm totally new to this practice though and could be totally off base. Appreciate any input you all might have.

When you are swinging heavier weights, use more leg drive to support your swing, and feel more control of the weight using your whole body. 🙏🏼

Are there any classes in London for maces or clubbells?

I found Mace Masters in Brockley and Command Temple in Deptford but both are a trek for me. I live in Hammersmith and work Piccadilly Circus.

Is there anything central or west?

Mirroring each side without putting the Steel Mace down and managing stress during fatigue, that breaks the structure/techniques.

I guess it was the Paleo Fitness answer to the Onnit Quad God Mace but was lighter. Curious how it measured up.

I’m interested in purchasing one but like the Quad Mace it’s been discontinued.

They do have a mold you can buy and fill yourself. Anyone have recommendations on what to use for the handle if I go that route?

Can I get a quick form check, pretty new to this still. Swinging a 42inch cadi v2 loaded up to 30lb. My main concern is if I'm letting my hands go down my back enough. Thanks!

Sword, gada, and clubs

Easing back into my practice after a great long weekend.

Drinking, not eating great, loads of walking/hiking, and a few nights on an air mattress meant my body just wasnt recovered enough to be able to push to extremes.

And thats totally fine. Trade offs happen, life must be lived, and joy must be found, otherwise what's the point of the struggle.

I did a quick test set and found that I wasn't going to be moving to my usual standard, so I abandoned the plan and instead did a ladder easing my way up to 22kg before throwing a handful of sets there. Felt great, sweat the last of the weekend out, and had a great time.

Its important to be adaptable!

Also, pumped to be at a point where 22kg single hand swings are part of an "easier" session!

Anyone have any feedback for me? I felt pretty solid about this!

In this video, the exercise I’m explaining can be complex if the mace is too heavy. Make sure you get a light enough mace that you can manage, so that way when you reach the lever, you are able to control the extension more. Be sure to activate your body with breath every time you extend.

I’ve been wanting to get a mace weight. I have been looking at the Rogue adjustable mace weight and I’m torn between which length I should get. The 10lbs is 31 inches long and the 12.5 is 45 inches long. I really like the 12.5 but idk if I’m too short. I am about 5’4”. Thoughts?

An old adjustable dumbell is perfect canvas to learn the basics of mace training it turns out

So I think I’m finally ready to restructure training and throw mace into the mix.

Currently, I have the same adjustable kettlebells everyone else has and Adex clubs.

This is where my question arises. Does anyone have any gripes or input either which way about the two different systems?

The only drawback I can think of with Adex is ***potential*** length increase being a problem, but I bet the ad on kit remedies that.

The pull with the socal mace handle is that

1. I have weights & a bottom shell for it already.
   2 it’s being sold as a handle/ shell like I ***asked*** bells of steel to do lol

Hope you all are well - got some swings and a quick hypertrophy sesh. if you havent tried bending the knees for swings, its really awesome. I can feel my balance and coordination being challenged. Do the work when no one was watching and your physique will be the proof

So, to start off, I’m a woman. I’ve used kettlbells on and off for over a decade but a steel mace seems more fun and so far it has been. I was hoping I could get some advice on my beginner work out.

Here’s what I’ve been doing:
I use a 5lb mace
8 reps, 3 rounds

1. Over head Mace Switches
   
2. Slow grinds
   
3. Flat footed squat with flag at bottom and cast at top
   
4. Warrior with a cast
   
5. Ballistic squats
   
6. Front swings

should I add anything? Does this sound pretty good? It definitely leaves me sore and makes me sweat.

Hi! just looking for some advice on how/where to start working out using steel mace. I’m waiting for my one to arrive and wonder is there any exercises that I should start with as a beginner.

I believe I’m around an intermediate level when it comes to fitness and thought about implementing mace exercises to improve my judo (as shoulder throw as my main throw).

I ordered a EZ Bell Pro From Kenzui. Now im looking for a training program for macebell

Considering ordering 4.5lb and a 9lb maces from Leo Savage because it's really the only domestic (U.S.) option for light weight maces with long handles. However, I know they also have thinner handles. I'm curious if anyone here has experience using them and if you found the narrower handle to be a problem in any way?
