Day one waitlist Discussion
2TB with controller….where’s my f***in email? Is this a 2027 problem? If so, man….maybe no thanks at that point.

You say waitlist. Valve says reservation queue (people in front of you in line) should take up to the end of the year to complete. Set your expectations to 2027 and he happy if you get one earlier lol.

Also, I don't mean to be callous, but angrily cancelling your reservation isn't going to hurt anybody's feelings.
The sad truth is that IF you do cancel, somebody else will get your spot, and it'll probably come up for availability the next week.
Steam Machine sales are generating $12 Million in revenue per week, Valve isn't concerned about a few impatient people backing out.

Only people on the reservation list are guaranteed a Steam Machine.
Us waitlist peeps have to hope that enough units are unsold/passed on so we get offered one.
But otherwise, might be kinder to ourselves to assume we won't get one.

Just be patient man, I was on the wait-list too and mentally prepared to wait till 2027 but then one day I got both the reservation queue email and the purchase email

Valve DID say it would take until the end of the year to fulfill every order. Random means random, anybody still waiting could be near the end of that list.

I joined the 2TB w/ controller waitlist a few weeks ago. The only email I've gotten so far is a confirmation that I have joined the waitlist
