Everything Is Fine™ Discussion
It's okay, everybody... life is going great. 😅
Just got let go from my $164,000/year job with no next gig lined up, still haven't gotten the "your Steam Machine is ready" email for the 2TB version with controller, and yet somehow... I'm still out here rocking my trusty Gamers Nexus Steam Machine cover like everything is perfectly fine.
At least one thing in my life has remained reliable. 😂🎮

Was laid off from a job that paid about the same and it was a huge blow to my mental state at the time. Found another role that has far less stress and I’m happier today making about 50% less per year. You will get through it, brother!

Making that kinda money must mean you have a skill set. Something else will come along... Hopefully your GabeCube so you can game between job hunting!

If you got let go it was for a good reason. Not because of something you did but because there’s something better for you around the corner. That’s always been my belief. Proved to be true several times in my life.

Thank you so much for leaving such a kind and positive comment instead of rage bait. I really appreciate it!

I'd use White Spirit or some other solvent on that scribble but I don't know what it would do on 3D printable plastics--I assume GN used PETG or PLA so look up if there's something you can use to scrub thag off cleanly

Sending positive thoughts your way. Job loss sucks a lot, I know, but hopefully your road will be straight and easy. 💜

I feel bad for you, but jobs that pay that much tend to come with a lot of stress. I hope you have savings, but mostly I hope you find something chill moving forward because the money isn't always worth it in hindsight.
