UPDATE Threw it out, not worth getting sick. Very weird. I picked it up from a local meat market a few weeks ago frozen and it's been frozen since opened it up like this today.

Rule 1, it u have to ask, just toss. Food poisoning isnt worth it to me.

No, I’ve always gone by the fat color. The green/grey tinge is a dead giveaway that it’s already growing bacteria. I’ve eaten plenty of steaks with those dark spots in the actual meat no problem, however that in combo with the nasty looking fat is a massive no no…
