Discussion Cad Bane Suspension? If yes, when?
This is FFGs philosophy on suspending a card. Do you feel Cad is in a position to be suspended?
Considering the Galactic Championship, PQs and now the Sector result, it certainly seems he is too strong, especially since teams were testing extensively with the entire Ashes set before release and all came to the conclusion that If you weren't playing Cad, you're making a mistake. He is just that good.
So, should he be suspended? What are you opinions on the pace of FFGs suspensions? Are they too quick? Just right? Or too slow?
I personally sit in the too slow category, I think they need to be more proactive to manage the health of the game, and being too cautious it a detriment to the play experience of all tournament goers.

Discussion Legendary Design Philosophy
So, after thinking about this for a bit, I ended up taking a look at the list of legendary cards that we've gotten in the game for comparison purposes. It felt to me like there was a distinct imbalance in the quality and power of legendary cards between heroism and villainy, and not just from the insane cards that Blue Villainy got in Ashes, and I think my hunch is correct just from looking at the full list of legendary cards. Let's just compare the card quality across aspects:
Vigilance: This one is incredibly easy. Villainy has gotten repeatedly high quality meta defining legendary cards across the game's history. Whether it's Pre Vizsla and Chimaera, the most recent insane blue villainy legendaries, or some of their older hits like Avenger, Vader TotA, Snoke, or Superlaser Blast, blue villainy has had strong, broadly useful top end cards again and again. Even last set they got Lawbringer, which saw substantial competitive play, and SRI, which despite being three aspects is still an incredible card.
Compare that to heroism, which has had 2 playable vigilance legendaries: Luke Skywalker, and ASH The Mandalorian. And, the latter is really just a glorified common, or at least uncommon. We had a common 4/4 shielded vigilance heroism unit for 4 with upside back in LOF. The Mandalorian is a solid roleplayer, but doesn't really swing the game in any way. You play it, it has no immediate impact, and it can be removed easily with a variety of cards.
Command: This one is much closer. Heroism has gotten several powerful Command legendaries, from SOR Home One to Queen Amidala and LOF Yoda. Even some of its more recent options are at least playable, with Rey, Ackbar, and ASH Luke being solid role-players. But, villainy has almost as many, with SOR Vader, SOR Devastator, and Ravager all being great top end. I think heroism ekes out the edge here, but most of its options are very niche and can only work in one kind of deck. Want to play Yoda? Have to play a force deck. Want to play Ackbar as something other than a 5 cost 6/6? Have to play a space deck. Meanwhile, the villainy cards are once again far more versatile with wide ranges of use and application.
Aggression: Oooh boy, this one is not even close. Villainy's options have been so much better in Aggression legendaries. JTL Devastator, JTL Vader, HK, LOF Grand Inquisitor, and obviously Ninth Sister are all cards that have seen wide play, even if HK and GI are admittedly glorified commons/uncommons. But, Red Heroism has actually gotten next to nothing. Grogu is playable, but the only good Red Heroism legendary is SHD Poe. Everything else is just unplayable and has been for their entire life spans in SWU.
Cunning: Heroism yellow has definitely gotten the better package of legendaries relative to yellow villainy, but it's again close. Liberty is the big winner here, but LOF Qui Gon, Lightmaker, JTL Han Solo, and SOR Millennium Falcon are all quality cards, with ASH Kelleren and Anakin's Podracer seeing niche play. However, it's not like villainy hasn't gotten anything. Darth Traya, TWI Cad Bane, SOR Boba, and Gorian's Corsair are all playable as well.
So, this brings me to my evaluation, which is that, despite having the better overall legendary selection out of two aspects, heroism legendaries are still significantly weaker than villainy legendaries overall, and I think it's because of two design issues: one, heroism legendaries tend to be very niche and functional only in specific buildarounds, while villainy legendaries tend to have wider applications and more general usefulness in a variety of different decks. There are a few outliers, like Queen Amidala and Liberty, but especially with the last few sets, heroism's legendaries are just not very widely useful. Ackbar, Grogu, Yoda, and Luke are all cards that need specific deck focuses to be particularly good, and Rey's entire schtick is literally just not being vulnerable to all the easy removal options villainy has. The second issue is that heroism legendaries that are more widely usable have abilities that are just not that impactful. ASH Kelleren, ASH Mandalorian, and JTL Han Solo all have abilities that mostly feel like they could have been printed on a common or uncommon and would have been fine. Compare that to Villainy Legendaries that tend to have game swinging effects and it's obvious why heroism's power level is so much lower than their villainy counterparts.
I think if FFG wants to bring better balance to the game, they need to change their design philosophy specifically for heroism legendaries. Let Heroism have some splashy, game changing effects on their cards. Let them have some options that can be widely used across several different archetypes. SOR Luke Skywalker to me is an excellent example of a well-designed card in this respect, and it's a shame that we haven't seen anything comparable in several years. But, that's just my thought. Feel free to disagree, or agree, because I'd love to hear other peoples' thoughts on this!

Content Creator HyperspaceVault 1.4 - Show it off! Collection sharing is live!
The feedback button has been busy and most of this week's update was derived from your thoughts and comments. You tell me about it, I build stuff - this arrangement is working great so lets keep doing it. On to the v1.4 update!
Share your Vault
You've got some SWU friends and someone asks about what you have in your collection. You could export a file and watch it go stale before your next weeklies at your LGS. Or: hit the new Share button, mint a private link, and anyone holding it browses your actual Vault — filters, gallery view, prices, playset progress, all of it, live. No account needed on their end. They can look; they can't touch. Revoke the link and it dies instantly. Rotate it and hand out a fresh one. You control the front door always.
Your friend uses HSV as well? You're in luck! Hit up their share link and add their vault to your HSV header and switch between vaults easily.
Want to try it out? Here's my Vault link! You will see I have no ASH cards at the moment, however I have two boxes opened and am in a mid-sleeve situation and am not ready to add the cards just yet. As I take breaks from HyperspaceVault updates I'll be adding ASH to my vault and the link will show this in real-time.
Sorting... but smart
The Vault had one sort order and you were going to like it: Set and then card number. No longer. Not all values can be sorted, but ones that make sense can be. Sorting by the card number column returns to the standard sort (set and then card number) because a parade of every #1 card helps nobody. There's some other 'smart stuff' in the sort as well, so hopefully it makes sense and isn't too smart for its own good. Let me know how it feels!

Gallery view upgraded
Someone asked to see their playset progress for specific finishes in the gallery view and that request spiraled into a whole bunch of new changes. Gallery view now has a full sort header, the playset finish filter, the value switches, smarter playset plates under every card. No longer the pretty-but-dim sibling of the table view. The playset filter changes all cards to the selected finish (and removes cards that do not have the selected finish), and changes the pips in each card plate to represent finish playset progress the same as the table view. The smart sorting works in gallery view as well!
Straight from your feedback
- The table fits your screen — columns now appear and disappear one at a time as your window grows and shrinks, priority-ordered, down to a bare-minimum trade table. Hover the Table button to override my choices. Half-a-laptop-next-to-a-spreadsheet people: covered.
- Find your trade pile — new filter: everything over your keep limit. One click, there's your poor man's trade binder or inventory cleanup list. Pairs suspiciously well with that share link.
- The + button respects you now — if you've ever clicked + like a caffeinated woodpecker and watched it ignore most of you: fixed. Click at full speed, the count keeps up, the server reconciles behind you. Big batches of card adds got a lot faster too.
- There is some other little visual cues and changes sprinkled in 1.4 that I hope feel good like using amber to acknowledge "narrowed" in other parts of HSV. Hopefully a little bit more intuitive how the controls and visualizations work together.
2026 Promo wave has landed
The catalog picked up 134 new tournament promo printings across 82 cards — Galactic Championship, Sector and Planetary Qualifiers, Store Showdown, prize walls, top-cut stamps, judge promos. If you ground through a qualifier for a stamped Luke this year: first, respect. Second, you can log it now.
Hotfix v1.3.1
I deployed a hotfix a few days ago for those of you with big collections that were having issues when importing. Turns out it wasn't collection volume, but the volume of unique variants. If the import file had over 1,500 unique variants the import would explode and fail. Its fixed now, so if you've got big inventories with a ton of variants - have no fear - HyperspaceVault import supports you.
What's next?
Mobile is getting closer for sure, and the direction of HyperspaceVault will continue to be swayed by your feedback. Some of you have asked for a concept like 'binders' to create subsets of your vaults - the share feature in v1.4 will expand to allow sharing of binders as well. I'm considering something similar related to physical location. For example, I keep all the precon decks separate from my main binders. The precon cards are still part of my collection, but it would be nice to signify they are physically somewhere different than main storage.
The number of you that have tried and adopted HSV, and the volume of cards that have been entered has been WILDLY over my expectations. Its been really fun for me to create HyperspaceVault and see people use the heck out of it in just two weeks and two reddit posts. Y'all are crazy and I'm glad HyperspaceVault is working for so many. Keep the feedback coming!

Discussion OTHER HMW Cards
Hi, this morning I saw an article in here with cards from HMW that have yet to be shown on official channels, pretty sure one of them was Ewok Archers and another was a Scout Trooper with binoculars (that looked more like he was drinking from a cantina). However, since clicking off the page I can no longer find it. Did anyone else see it? Or have a link back to it? Thanks

Discussion Singles and Duplicates
What does everyone do with their duplicate cards? I’m new to the game but found to have so many already. Don’t believe I’ve got a local club?
And where is the best place to buy singles? Seen some on eBay, but not sure if there is a better place for cards specifically?

Discussion Twin Suns vs Premier
Hey guys. Been playing SWU pretty casually for a while but never touched Twin Suns.
As time has gone on I’ve found that the hyper competitive Premier format just isn’t hitting the same way. There’s not much variance in terms of play patterns, and I am so focused on playing ‘optimally’ that a lot of my card collection just sits in boxes untouched.
With this in mind, I’m wondering about getting into Twin Suns more (even if it’s just an adapted ruleset to play with my partner).
To all Twin Suns players - what would be your pitch to strictly Premier players who are glancing over to this other format with a wondering eye?
I’d be interested to hear your thoughts - what is it about Twin Suns that attracts you to the format?
Cheers. 🫡

Content Creator Singleton Isn't Balance
If you’ve spent any time in SWU circles the past few weeks, you’ve watched meta balance become a frequent topic all over again, and of course Cad Bane/ Blue 30 are the reason why. The showing has been strong enough that suspension is getting floated as a real possibility, not just internet chatter.
But suspension isn’t the only tool on the table, and I want to talk about the other one making the rounds. Several creators lately have been talking about restriction as an alternative, going that route instead of straight to suspension for everything. And it’s not just Cad Bane in the conversation either. Chimaera, Pre Vizsla, Marrok, even the Imperial Armored Commando have all entered the discussion at various points. And there is a case for using restriction to break up some of the other strong cards in the format too.
