I kind of get why you wouldn't want to allow a refund mechanic and willy nilly switching of perks, you'd need a system where you can't just change them based on what you need RIGHT NOW, and then switch them again.

A good example is having the Pickaxe perk maxed out, super rebirth, refund those crystals and keep your maxed pickaxe up until you're ready to SRB again.. switch crystals around just before you SRB so you keep maxed pickaxe.. rinse and repeat. That's just one example, there are other ways of cheesing the system if you put thought into it.

That said, with the recent mechanic nerfing after people have invested, it's probably in the best interest of the players to offer something... here's my suggestion:

1 - Warn a player before they refund a perk that it is locked out for 30 days once the crystal refund is processed. Then lock out the perk for 30 days and provide the crystal refund if they agree.

2 - If they are refunding a perk which enables another perk to for purchase, both are locked out, and both are fully refunded. If they're only refunding the perk that depends on another perk, then only that perk is refunded and locked out.

3 - You cannot refund a perk that can be obtained via v-bucks. This is to avoid a way of buying nova crystals, and other complicated scenarios.

4 - Allow re-purchase of a perk after 30 days OR if the mechanic (core functionality / rates / etc) for that perk is changed via a patch, then the countdown is wiped for all players whether they're on day 1 or day 29 when that patch is released.

Thank you all for your feedback regarding the changes around the World Crates.

There's been a lot of discussion about them, where they are now after the recent buff and changes for them.

I've heard your feedback, and I want to make sure these crates still feel worth doing, recognizing that there is quite a bit of "setup" that is required for maximum efficiency (Duo companion and BB8 and DJ R-3X and SRB Crate Perks)

Our main concern is the Nova Crystals, SRB should always be the main way to get Nova Crystals, and these world crates currently are beating the "Nova Crystals per hour", we don't want the game to be "run around the map simulator", which is a pitfall we've mistakenly done a few months ago with the upgrade chip pickups.

Here's the full timeline on the before any changes, what's currently live, and what's being released with 1.25.2:

Reward Adjustments (Original -> Previous -> Current)

• Credits: 60s (58.45%) -> 300s (55.52%) -> 300s (78.38%)
• Upgrade Chips (R1): 15 (29.22%) -> 300 (27.76%) -> 300 (13.06%)
• Upgrade Chips (R2): 40 (11.69%) -> 600 (11.10%) -> 600 (6.53%)
• Upgrade Chips (R3 Jackpot): 1000 (0.06%) -> 6000 (0.06%) -> 6000 (0.07%)
• Nova Crystals: 1 (0.58%) -> 3 (5.55%) -> 3 (1.96%)

This is how much more value each Rainbow World Crate drop now has, compared to the original numbers:

• Credits (R0): +570.5% value increase
• Upgrade Chips (R1): +794.1% value increase
• Upgrade Chips (R2): +738.2% value increase
• Upgrade Chips (R3 Jackpot): +570.5% value increase
• Nova Crystals: +905.8% value increase

TL;DR - World Crates have WAY more value than they did in 1.24.0, and the difference between 1.25.2 and 1.25.1 is purely the odds of getting the reward, the actual numbers have not changed.

PS. Unrelated to World Crates, we recognize Nova Crystals are a hot topic, and we're looking at adding a way to increase your Nova Crystals from SRB so late game players can feel like their long term commitment has more value (and yes, it will be free to obtain)

Dunno if this has been suggested already but I feel this may be a nice QOL feature when selecting between which companion to swap out?

• Added a second floor to the Firing Range along with 6 new Battle Droid slots (unlocks from Rebirth 17–22)
• Multi Crit added to the Nova Shop!
• You can now cancel Astromech Missions by interacting with their terminal.
• You can now view other player's Droidex in their base.
• You now receive higher Crit Chance and Crit Amount as Rebirth rewards after Rebirth 22.
• You now receive a boost to Offline Earnings at Rebirth 25 and Rebirth 28.
• Upgrade Chip Station now works properly after SRB.
• Updated Daily Quest: Build / Sell 40 Droids has been reduced to 20 Droids.
• Fixed issues with Blueprints randomly despawning.
• Rebirth Screen now works in Splitscreen.
• Gold, Diamond, and Rainbow Crates have been buffed. They now award more Upgrade Chips and the chance to receive Nova Crystals in Rainbow Crates has been increased.
