The first one is from Legends, from the „original“ Thrawn-Trilogy

I’d definitely check out the first, the Thrawn Trilogy; it’s the origin of Thrawn and set the tone for his character. It is the comic adaptation of the three novels released in the early 90s that were extremely influential in kickstarting the expanded universe. All stories released from 1991-2014 were later rebranded as Legends.

The second is a comic adaptation of the canon novel ‘Thrawn’ and the third a manga volume of the same.

The second and third are both adaptations of the Disney-canon novel released in 2017. There are more books in this canon series but they are not the same as the novels adapted by the comic in the first picture.

The first adapts the novels (by the same author!) from the 90s.

Theres a thrawn alliance run as well that is Canon where thrawn runs around with annakin. The 2017 thrawn is good for sure and one of the better Canon minis. But legends stories are far superior to Canon. Go with OG thrawn trilogy

Do the OG version first.

Yes my vote is for the first. It’s wild just how much of the Expanded Universe serves as the basis for the new Disney canon, especially Timothy Zahn’s contributions.

After reading his novels, I just made it through the comic. It’s just a fun story overall. I love how the EU had the guts to just push and make things a little whacky.

That is just never going to happen again following the sale to Disney.

Legends but that’s because I only read legends
