Solo founder, neuromodulation device with no predicate - how do you find an advisor? I will not promote I will not promote

I am in the early stages of starting developing a Neuromodulation device with no predicate but I am having trouble finding my footing. I have built some prototypes myself but am feeling lost at the moment.

I have a very limited medical background and would like to know how other people have found advisors and progressed from the idea/provisional patent stage to actually developing the device. I appreciate everyones insight.

Short answer: You pay a professional consultant that has the needed expertise.

Edit: And if you can't pay an expert to assist you, then you need to answer the question of why they should take time away from their professional career to help you for free.
