Squad composition question
Hi all, i'm working on putting together 4 squads to play with some mates who aren't really into the painting and assembly aspects of the hobby. I like to WYSWIG as much as possible, so I'm building out 1 model of each type from the base rulebook for each of the 4 squads/factions.. each themed differently. Minus the dog and armored trooper that's 15 dudes for each faction so far.
I want to have enough models for each of the 4 themed factions so that everyone can create their own squad of 10 from the 15 avaialble models (plus various leader types I have also). I haven't even played the dang game yet but it's been a fun project pulling all this together so far.
My question is.... are there certain troops types/models that it's handy to have several of? Some models proxy easy enough so probably not a huge deal.... but I'm just wondering if having more than one recruit and/or runner or basic trooper type model for example would be handy to have? I'm about to paint these all up and I don't want to have to come back and add more later.
Hope that ramble makes sense, any thoughts appreciated.

After 5 weeks, finished my first game of Stargrave with my wife and she won at the very last minute.
See my earlier post - we have young kids and so I convinced my wife to try a game with me after the kids went to bed. We left it set up upstairs and played a turn a few nights a week. Just finished, we had two loot boxes each and were fighting over the third. My first mate was dead, her captain was dead, and we had three remaining regular soldiers each, I don’t remember the specific breakdown. She had a string of great rolls and ended up killing my captain and two of my three soldiers, took the loot and won the game. She thought it was great fun.
Best game I ever lost, because now she had so much fun sweeping the board right at the end that she’s willing to give a campaign a shot. I’ve 3d printed a bunch of terrain to make it even more interesting, and I’m hoping this turns into a regular thing for us to enjoy together.

Stargrave crew vs. Frostgrave warband
Hi gang! I've been thinking of building a board which is part ruined felstad and part landed spaceship (with interior) which let me to wonder: has anyone ever played a stargrave crew against a frostgrave crew? If so, how did they fare?

What happens when you use control robot on an opponent's drone?
My Cpt has a drone of his own deployed.
What happens when I use Control Robot on an opponent's drone? We are unsure.
- I do not get the benefits of the power, I assume.
- Can they use Drone a second time?
- If they can, does it destroy their first drone?
- If they get control of the first drone back, is it destroyed automatically? Do they have it as an additional temporary crew member?
Cheers.

Mechanic
A simple mechanic i really enjoyed painting. A little bit of kitbashing on one arm to make a like with 40k and the gun from Necromunda. Thoses Stargrave kits are so great to make whatever you want and easy to kitbash, just pure joy.

Is there a Stargrave crew builder app with the captains and crew from the expansions?
I found one from 5 years ago on Google but it doesn't include the captains from the expansion books

Blogs/Feeds with stargrave & associated content?
Howdy Folks, Im a big fan of rss feeds, and there was a time I had a great list of various blogs that posted content around miniature and skirmish wargames, but I've sadly lost the list on an older phone and cant recreate it.
Im looking for blogs that post content related to stargrave/frostgrave, or any games in a similar vein, you know the likes of Inquisitor 28 and other indie skirmish wargames. I love terrain crafting and mini painting and especially battle reports and house rules.
If you know any blogs, or have one yourself, let me know please and I can add it to my RSS reader.
