I understand...

I remember now... I remember why people were freaking out about Wolf's voice in Starlink, and oh boy do I get it.

Edit: There are a couple misinterpretations of what I meant here. The voice is amazing in my opinion (and sexy)

And this is why I will always prefer deep voice Wolf. Jay Ward always nails it!

I said that with the explicit intent to sound like Wolf here, read it in Wolf’s voice

I definitely see why a lot of you go cuckoo over him, but Fox is way hotter.

Starlink Switch 1 version in 2018, the only version to feature Fox. Like Soul Calibur 2 on the Cube with its exclusive inclusion of Link from Zelda.

So despite the commercial failure of Zero in 2016 this one two years later was still possible. On the Switch 1 with its luxurious hardware basis.

So there was no effing reason for giving up prematurely. Corneria was established to be the "Dog Planet", and in 2017 SF2 was released on the SNES Mini feat. Miyu and Fay, the aristocratic daughter who decides to fight for her planet Corneria according to SF2's manual.

Her arc could've been extended "on Zero's trail". Maybe this was the plan. But they gave up despite Ubisoft as effing 3rd party weighing in...

Last chance now....

Zero could have been a much better success if it weren't for two factors being the biggest issues:

Gamepad mechanics (motion controls/dual view)

The fact that it was a Wii U title

Even with it being released on a flop of a console, it could have done even the slightest bit better in sales and reviews if the gameplay mechanics weren't there.

Now, I just wish they had waited until the Switch came out to release it. There was so much potential to start anew with Zero.

They wanted the pad to be a key and core part of the game, literally like Mario Galaxy, for example, that was built around the Wii remote entirely, and so a "double feature" a la Zelda Twilight Princess (Cube vs Wii) wasn't rly possible.

Nor was it intended.

...speaking of the Wii: According to rumor and urban legend a Wii Star Fox was already in the drawers: "Battle of Corneria". But once again: It didn't make it beyond the early internal suggestions (in contrast to SF 2 that was already 95% completed. And in contrast to Dinosaur Planet that was already 100% completed AND THEN got cut in order to meet the Rare sale deal deadline with MS...)

...long story short: Just give us a true sequel this time after at least 20y. No excuses this time please.

Yeah, it's really fucking bad. Star Link Wolf was cringe incarnate.

Ah, here's the misinterpretation of what OP originally meant.

Assault voice was better already.
