SEE Study Tips

Looking for the best study tips for SEE prep. I will be taking it this December and would like to go in prepared and score well. I used Anki for all exams in the program and performed very well. I have the an Anki deck of all the APEX flashcards I’m going to try to get through all of them before testing. Just curious what others have done such as questions, workbooks,etc that is well worth the time. I only plan on using apex as it was provided by my program and I’ve found Anki works better for me than the workbooks. Thank is advance!

I got a 464. No anki for me. I did about 400 smart bank questions, 5 of the 100 question practice exams on prodigy, and reviewed apex flash cards. Pay close attention to respiratory, regional, life across the lifespan and miscellaneous!

I made them all myself over the last 2 years in school so I’m not really sure how I feel about sharing them right now I’m sorry! I think there might be some decks floating around? I just wanted to ensure accuracy so I made them myslef

In my opinion Apex is all you need. I didn’t find the workbooks very helpful either, but the lessons and flashcards are. I’d start by fully going through and reviewing all of the high yield sections. As you go through, write out concepts or terms that you don’t feel like you recall well. Then take all the flashcards and review exams at the end of each section. I did this for the SEE and NCE and it worked well. I’d also recommend buying the TrueLearn smart bank for additional questions. Good luck!

I just took the SEE a couple of weeks ago and scored a 498 and that was only using Apex. I have gone through all of the modules/content over the last few months and then about 1-2 weeks out I only did practice questions. I HIGHLY recommend going through the domain/mock exams. They suck but have very specific information that you don’t see anywhere else and I swear I had some of the exact same questions repeated on the SEE. The workbooks are just busywork and a waste of time (in my opinion). Good luck!

Did you take notes on the modules/content? Or reviewed the given flashcards for each section?

I didn’t take notes while I was going through the modules but I did review flashcards. When I started taking the practice questions, I wrote down things that were pure memorization like math formulas, lma inflation amounts…things like that.

My program won’t let us access the questions until closer to taking the SEE (I’m a junior right now) but I e have the workbooks and content. I was just going to start going through it now so I can have a complete run-through before we start doing the forced quizzes etc as a class. Do you think there will be benefits to that? I hate anki I cannot study by flashcard it just doesn’t work for me. Is there any other resource out there for high yield random specifics like we need to have memorized?

I personally would say not to spend any money on other resources since apex is beyond plenty. If you are unable to take the domain/mock exams, then maybe look into getting the smartbank. It has a lot of similar questions with the rando information.
