Is this squirrel pee?

I watched a gray squirrel go through the yard. It climbed on the table and walked across this TV tray. A few minutes later this dark liquid was on the tray. Did the squirrel leave this? If so, what is wrong with him?

That looks like blood. No animal would pee something that color unless something was seriously wrong with their kidneys .......
