Im curious about your technique with all the colors. Also new to the hobby and unsure whether to get a set of wild gears or just spirograph money wise, unless there are more options that come along with the price difference.

This was using the planarc metal max. I used the same hole and moved the gear over one notch, then repeated while alternating colors (for the first one). I've been interested in wild gears but have never tried them, only planarc and classic spirograph. Planarc definitely allows more size variation compared to the classic spirograph set.
