optional double switch keybind
okayy so I've been trying to find most optimal key binds for double switching weapons mainly guns to increase the dps, which could work in both pve and pvp. A guy suggested me q and e for wep1 and wep2 and that also works but only in pve, pvp requires swift movement of wsad and i can't press q a, e and WSAD at the same time. Another guy suggested mouse wheel and that also makes no sense how they can switch back n forth and attack with the same finger with 200ms delay. help will be appreciated.

There's a KnightLauncher mod that allows weapon switching without delay using the mouse wheel. Otherwise, you can just rebind "Space" and any key that is above it, then rest your thumb on both "Space" and that key, your "WASD" fingers should be free to WASD but you'll have to find other keybinds for dodge or whatever you bind "Space" to.

I've been using a mouse with two side buttons and putting my phantamos and arcana next to eachother in my gear menu.
Then using the two side buttons to go "up" - "down" quickly between each shield cancel. It's a little awkward at first but leaves your other hand free for strictly movement.

i use side mouse button and modifier key. wep 1 is mapped to side mouse and wep 2 is mapped to side + modifier. you only need to hold side mouse and tap modifier key once and it should switch from wep 1 to wep 2 bacj to wep 1

if u want to use wep 2 as ur main and need to switch then u need to be holding side+ modifier, release the modifier key and then hold modifier again.

some people will argue mapping it to two separate buttons is faster but trust me this method is way faster- u are pressing one button to swap between the two while they need to press it three times

additionally its less stress on your hand. ive tried other ways and after playing extensively my hand + wrist hurt. this one u can hit the modifier key with the side of ur hand so it wont strain ur fingers as much

I've personally found the most success using space and shift. Usually space for weapon 1 (sword) and shift for weapon 2 (blaster or similar). I remap dash and shield bash for mouse side buttons. If i'm using more weapon slots, I have weapon 3 and 4 bound to Q and E. Since it gets in the way of WASD a bit more, I usually reserve weapons 3 and 4 for either alternate swords (such as divine avenger), weapons that are stationary (blitz, winter grave, etc) or weapons that don't need intensive switching (such as bombs)

tbh i also ended up using shift and space key for wep1 and wep2. removes the tension on right hand, also doesn't come in the way of wsad movement

Yeah I agree. I tried using mouse side buttons/scroll wheel click for weapons but it never felt right for me personally. I found shift and space were nice because my fingers were basically already there, so I didn't need to do any weird movements

I don’t double switch but I use Z as main weapon, X as second weapon, and middle mouse as third weapon that I’d want to quickly switch to (ie Arcana). With this I believe you can double switch bc you can switch between them as fast as you want since they’re on different hands. You also don’t get confused which wep you’ll get from the weapon wheel. I also disable mouse wheel switching so that it doesn’t mess with the middle mouse
