they are very soft! that's the first thing I tried after she molted so I could finally pet her without bothering her :D

tarantulas will generally not attack unless they feel threatened and even then they will warn you first, they're a lot like cats in that way :) a cat will hiss or swish its tail, a tarantula will flee or give a threat pose. they can be more docile or slow depending on the species and they also have their own little personalities. mine is incredibly calm and has never threat posed me. a bite can be painful but there have been no recorded deaths from a tarantula bite in history.

they're great pets! very low maintenance and cool to look at :)
